Hi Tan and Gill and anyone else organising the Auction,
Just noticed that the auction is to end on Sunday 9th December. Is that correct? Couldn't it run for a few days longer?
Sorry to be a pain but feel I'm a week too late. (story of my life but that's for another time..ha ha) :-:
Lots of love

Hi Roz , I am doing the auction and I am afraid we have to finish on the 9 Dec or we wont get all the money to Lesley in time and also get all the stuff to try and catch the post before Christmas.
So each year we have to have Christmas early on Purrs cos we wouldnt get it done and dusted otherwise.
If there is some motive behind this question Queakie please can you pm me off forum ;D ;D

No, O Sneakieone, there's no motive behind this question.....you're the sneakieone remember? :innocent:
Seriously, I just thought I recalled last year's auction running until 17th Dec which would have given the cat-proofing kit longer to achieve a good result (my fault for not looking in earlier....I have just been so busy). If it doesn't achieve the starting price I'll make a really big donation myself.
As I said, sorry to be a nuisance...I know how hard it is to organise all this sort of thing.
Ol' Queakie a bit outta touch.... :( better get working on regaining my cool cat image.

No the auction you might remember is the first one on CC, cos it was very rushed and only ran a week.
Last years auction finished on Mon 11 Dec but this year I cant run it on because I am will not be here on the 10th and 11th, only knew that after we started anyway.
So I am afraid we have to run with the 9th. I would love your kit to get loads of money and hope that it does but if nobody can raise the dosh then maybe we can have it back next year ;) ;)
Oooooooooooo I am so :-[ shouldnt have said that :scared: :scared:
We still have 6 days to go ;D ;D

Oh God me memory's going as well. I know last year the kit was a bit of a slow starter because of the price but we got there in the end and I think it achieved double the SP...so that was a good result. Of course you can have it back next year.... but hopefully, that will be another one.
I don't think I'm wrong to start the kit off at a reasonable price because it would be a waste of a valuable item to let it go for a few pounds...After all, the aim is to raise as much money for the Shelter as possible, is it not?
Toodle-pip O Sneakieone

Why dont peeps read da instructions and arrange their appointments around the once a year Purrs auction. I ask
Now I would not be suggesting :shify: that you appoint a trusted proxy bidder, who must post on every post that they were bidding on your behalf :innocent:
Nooooooooooooo, not me noooooooo :notme: :Nooooo: :Nooooo: :Nooooo: :Nooooo: :Nooooo: :what: :larf 2:
If you were not to do that :evillaugh: then you would have to email or pm me the persons id, which items and maximum bid, incase they exceeded their power, so that bid could be deleted :reading 2: :read 1:
