Just had a phone call about 2 more cats :tired: The owner is moving tomorrow and needs somewhere urgently for them, not sure why they can't take them but they will be homeless >:( She said she's tried everywhere and had them advertised but no one's interested :censored: :censored: :censored: Why do peeps leave everything last bloody minute before they decide to get something sorted!!
-
Oh no!
These poor things. Hopefully somewhere can be found for them.
-
:( poor babes - I really hope there is someone on here who can offer these a space for now :(
-
omg what will happen to them, I can't believe someone could leave it so late
-
Because it's easy DD, they think about themselves not the cats.
They are only cats after all :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: (you now tha's not me saying that)
-
I'll have to see what I can do, I'm chocca but I've got a couple going out next week and the feral will be going home as well so in theory, I'll be 3 down next week but I won't be :sneaky: I will try and put a plea out later to see if anyone can foster them for me, poor little babies.........I really despise humans sometimes :censored: :censored:
-
Dawn, you could put a post on Pet Rescue UK in the "animals in danger" section - it's for urgent cases.

A few!!! :-: mmmm would this be fostering or what? lol
-
You could always keep a few and foster a few if you want :evillaugh:

At first I didn't think Dawn was all that near to where I live, but when I found out the area she was talking about was exactly where I live I just couldn't help but blurt out the offer to help. They're here now, and already seem quite settled, although of course there's a good deal of all the cats sizing each other up. What has surprised me is how Sonia is not in the slightest intimidated, and I won't have to give her any special attention (beyond what she already gets!)
Obviously I'll be keeping a close eye on them all, while pretending not to, but there's been a lot less hissing and growling than I'd expect.
Cleo is very good natured, and definitely a lap cat:

Tillie is also a lap cat, but goes into a strange fit of play fighting if you don't stroke her in exactly the right way! This might be because she's a bit unsettled after all, but she's pretending not to be.

All the cats have retained a healthy appetite, another good sign!
-
Aww, I am glad they are safe.
-
I hope they're not here for too long or I might be tempted to keep them!
-
Dave, it was lovely to meet you and I am still smiling about Tilly's mad few minutes    Thanks so much for your offer of help, I will try and get a home for them asap unless of course, they've found their home, they certainly seemed very settled when I left them :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-
The longer you leave it, the more trouble you'll have getting them out of the door!
Seriously, I'll have to just see how it goes. It'll be the cats' decision at least as much as mine. So far, at least, so good. (http://209.85.48.12/9485/155/emo/luck.gif)

Well done Dave for helping out these little babes :Luv2: :Luv2:, but you're still not having the Christmas box for them.

Wonderful, that the power of Purrs has come to the aid of Cleo & Tillie. Unfortunately the plight of the little ones is not unique, more than once a week we receive phone calls from someone who is moving 'yesterday'. I am always told I have been looking for another home weeks/months. If only they had thought what will happen if they don't find a home and at least put the cats on as many waiting lists as possible so by the time they move the cat/s may be somewhere near the top. Every day I get calls from people about cats that are not wanted and they think we are waiting for their call and sometimes just slam the phone down saying I am unhelpful when I explain we are full and have a list of cats waiting to come in. I do 1471 and if I can get their number after they have had a cooling off period ring them again to explain the position.

Yep, she's a stereotype, that's for sure!
-
Oh their absolutely gorgeous :Luv: :Luv:
They look like they have settled in well. How many other cats have you got Dave?
-
I've got 3 of my own, plus Sonia, who's a foster cat, but who's here to stay for health reasons. It's difficult to type more - with (usually) either Cleo or Sonia on my lap, I'm having to use the Windows on-screen keyboard!
-
Dave.. you just a big ol' softie aren't ya? :naughty:
Bless you for giving them a permanent perch ;)
-
Dave....you even have them posing perfect for your pics...this is fate :Luv2:
-
:Luv2: Dave you are a star ... well done ;)
