Got home twenty minutes ago, fed the dog, fed the cats, and gave them the new toy I acquired for them today as a present for being home late. It is one of those fluffy birds from the RSPB that if you push its lower back it gives a birdcall. Smidgen has retreated to the Ikea tent (amongst Esther's autumn leaf collection) where he is systematically wrestling it in to submission, plucking fur and generally behaving like he thinks it is real bird. Shadow got so excited he decided he had to have his Kong so he could vent his excitement by chewing. He dug the rug up and dived under the sofa (nearly spilling my red wine!!) and is now throwing his kong around. Smidgen had taken the bird out to the tent and is throwing in the air, distracting the dog, and Esther, sensible girl the she is has retreated under the other sofa. Guess there will be no sleep in this household tonight unless i hide the bird!! :Luv2:
