Hello,
Our family was devastated to get the news yesterday (with our move less than a week away) that our precious cats cannot come with us to China.
We only got them at Christmas (9 months old now) from a breeder in Dorset. They are pedigreed, british shorthairs, have had all vaccinations and also have been neutered and microchipped.
Eliza Doolittle is a lilac self with yellow eyes and Lady Penelope is a lilac tabby with yellow eyes and on the chunky side. They are sisters and absolutely love each other. They are easy going, good with my children (and their friends), not ultra affectionate (no jumping on laps etc) but do love to be stroked, brushed and admired! They have only ever lived indoors.
I've tried posting them on the british shorthair site but it takes 3-5 days to turn up. We've called the Battersea Cats and Dogs home (which we would really only use as an extreme back up) and they are fully booked at the moment. So any advise and help you can give would be greatly appreciated! I am just so stressed about this!
Thanks,
Alyssa

Wont the breeder take them on? Really homing to someone whos emigrating that quickly is silly, takes months to organise and book quarantine spaces so imo the breeder owes it to the cats if it isnt working out.
Gorgeous cats with great names :wow:

They are gorgeous and hope they get a great home

I'd also recommend that Alyssa get in touch with the girls' breeder - breeders will take cats back if the situation warrants it.
Also, look into the local area or breed cat clubs as they will have a welfare and rehoming section.
