yes thanks. She wolfed down a pouch this morning as well as her lunchtime bikkies, and she's dropped a hint or three that she's hungry again, but I've told her she's got to wait till 6.30.

It turns out that the scrap I heard yesterday was Bubz  and another cat doing battle in Mask's back garden while he watched from the safety of indoors! Apparantly Bubz and this other cat were at it belly-to-belly when Margaret (Mask's adopted human) separated them. No wonder she was traumatised and so quiet.

Thanks for your support tho.

I would defninitely ring the vet.  That is a long time to go without food.  Fingers crossed there's nothing wrong.

Agree with others to get her checked out by a vet.

I know mine eat less when its warm and tend to go for biscuits but its not that hot here really.

Hope Bubz is Ok

that's a long time without any food. I'd def get her checked over as her liver can cause problems if she's not eating. She may have a fever (?) which would also cause lethargy. It's warmer, but it's not that hot at the mo'. Hope she eats this evening.

It may just be the sudden onset of warmer weather, I know that Max was very lethargic in the daytime, but perked up again in the evening when it was a bit cooler.

36 hours is quite a long time with not much eating, has Bubz been drinking?

Might be worth a call to the vet, see what they suggest?

She has been really, really not interested in doing anything but snoozing in various suggestive poses! Should I ring the vet tomorrow if she is still like this do you think?

Bubz not eating
hi - I am wondering whether to be worried about Bubz as she hasn't showed any inclination to eat much for the last 36 hrs. I wasn't worried for the first 24 hrs as she has done that to me before, but it has been going  on for a while longer now.

After I got back from a break away when she was booked in to a cattery she developed the habit of snatching food for next door's cat Mask, and there was this 24hr period where she didn't want anything but to slob on the desk or the settee. I had begun leaving a little bit of dry stuff down at the same time as her breakfast to try to get her into the mindset that she didn't have to guzzle.

It seemed to be working but from Sunday night/Monday morning she's hardly been out at all (btw how long can cats 'hold on'?) and then this morning she and Mask had a scrap with a little dog and Bubz came in with her back legs covered with dog mess and a soaking coat, and that  as far as I know has been the extent of her 'outside time' since yesterday. She has spent the entire day curled up on a little chair (thankfully after she'd got rid of the dog mess) and has only got down about 45 mins ago, after a gentle coaxing from, me and ate the remainder of the dry food from breakfast.

I've decided just to put some dry down tonight for supper rather than the pouch of Felix that is more usual. Do cats get less hungry if they are feeling the warmth, not that *I* would call it particularly warm. There's no cuts or scratches on her anywhere I can spot.  Am I just being a neurotic human?
