Thank you Gwen will get some in. I think I need to set up a medicine box for Archie as a precaution.

Thanks Den I will get some of that ;D

The wounds seem better today. I had a good look round last night and realised he spends alot of time by a prickly bush that is by the garage mouse hunting. I cut it back so hope that helps.

Also alarmingly I found a very sharp nail/tac in his catflap. I really do not know where this came from as we do not use that type. Hope its a one off :scared:

For little cuts I use Otodex skin cream it's like germolene for furries.

How's the little mite doing today  :Luv:

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

 to Archie. Nothing to add really Alison. I'm sure you'll know when a vet visit is required.  Any chance of grounding him for a bit to let it heal?

Archie has two small wounds, help needed
« Reply #1 on: April 21, 2008, 10:14:02 AM »
Archie came in on Friday with a small wound by his eye. I bathed it in salty water which helped and it started to heal.

He then came in this morning after a brief outing with another wound by his whiskers and Fridays wound opened up again. He may be going in a bush after birds.

I have just bathed it again in salty water and it does not look infected.

I was wondering if there was anything else I could use and at what point should I consider a vets visit.

Thanks
