Title: Anaesthetic related question.....
Post by: JackSpratt on December 20, 2011, 23:30:14 PM
How long does it stay in a cats system? As some of you know, I had Chi neutered today. Bearing in mind that before he came into our garden we're fairly sure he lived rough, he's itching to go out. He doesn't seem to understand litter trays and I'm worried he'll knot his legs for hours before fathoming out a tray.

So - how long does he stay "under the influence?" :scared:

Think it takes about 24 hrs to completely leave the system

He's fine. We bit the bullet re: potential accidents and had a lockdown. Got up at 6 this morning to find him STILL staring mournfully out the cat flap and caved. He had some meat before he went and I thought "that's it for the day then...." but two hours later he was sat on the wall and came in for a fuss and more food. All the others seem totally unconcerned and we heard no issues during the night. (The embargo on the bedroom was broken to avoid sulks. ;) )

He's on a chair behind me passed out....the girls are both chilling out in here too, and Darwin is keeping our foster tortoise company in the small bedroom. ;)
