Hello, and thank you for already welcoming me to Purrs and helping me through
my first Purrs Christmas Auction ;D
Finally time to settle down and introduce myself properly after joining right in on
delightful auction bids and bickering with several of you wonderful ladies (and gents?) :)
I stumbled across the Purrs Shop a while back, and after making my first order for
christmas this year, I also found my way to this lovely forum. I live on the North Pole
(almost), and I'm a fairly active user of a smaller, non-english version of Purrs.
Discovering fellow cat enthusiasts, crazy cat ladies and volunteers from other
parts of the world is always exciting!
My furry friend (Yes, I am owned by a single (1) cat :faint:) Figaro was adopted by me
a couple years ago from a lovely shelter. He's still a little jumpy, but has developed into
an extremely social and friendly furball. Main interest: Eating :innocent:
Very talkative and of course a real charmer :Luv:

I am looking forward to read and learn more from you guys!

:welcome: to Purrs melbell, what a time to join amongst the madness of the auction
Figaro is absolutely stunning, just magnificent :drool; :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: Is there any pedigree in him or is he 'just' a standard moggy? Whatever he is he's abolustely gorgeous :Luv2:
What country are you from then Melbell? My geography is rubbish :-[
-
Wow he is so lovely and long soft fur ;D ;D
Pleased you have found us and had good fun in the auction ;D
-
are you Norwegian,Melbell? your English is fantastic
though not as fantastic as your owner ;)
as a great devourer of Scandinavian detective fiction, I feel I know your part of the world without setting foot on it
-
Wow Figaro is very hansom :Luv2: :Luv: :Luv2:

Thank you all so much for all of your kind words! :Luv:
Figaro is an absolutely adorable housecat. I am pretty sure there's no NFO or MCO in his immidiate family,
however I'm certain he's related to some sort of blabber mouth - maybe a parrot (http://th979.photobucket.com/albums/ae278/girlee_girl2/Emotions/th_giggling44q.gif)
We're Norwegian both of us, but not very mysterious or detective..ish :)
Kay: Are you a Larsson-fan then, perhaps?
-
Aaah, I was going to guess at Norway being your homeland as I thought he looked a bit like a Norwegian Forest Cat (although I see from your last post he's not!). Figbert (what a fab nickname :evillaugh: ) is simply stunning no matter who his parents were! :blow kiss:
-
a Henning Mankell and Steig Larsson fan, and even more a huge fan of The Killing series, The Bridge and Borgen - I've recorded them all
stick subtitles on something in a Scandinavian drama and I'm hooked ;D

Figbert, Fjodor, Fedora.. he's a sight to be seen for sure :cat rub:
Thank you for the compliments, I am sure he is in total agreement :briggin:

Ah, I watched Broen (The Bridge) as last year's julekrim, or Christmas crime fiction if you will. Maybe I'll make a tradition of it.
Norwegians are very big on crime fiction during easter. We have tons of books and series each year, it's quite delightful.
Shame I'm such a scaredy-cat :shy:

You would hardly notice any difference at this time of year. We do get a few weeks of summer though. I'm a fan of those Scandinavian detectives. A series is on telly from Denmark for the next few weeks.

:Luv:
If by daylight, you mean sun - none. However, we still have moonrise and moonset, and the sun does shed
som light even when under the horizon. It's called polar nights. So there's some light around ..11am/14 pm
these days :) Good conditions for aurora borealis and night skiing ;D

I do hope you are spoiled with a bit more daylight than us :) I would like those weeks of summer though, please.
May be addressed to the North Pole. It will find it's way here
