Chick crumb is basically little crumbs of corn, it's actually a food for baby chicks. World Best Cat Litter is also corn crumbs but ridiculously expensive at £36 for 15kg, chick crumb is very similar but loads cheaper.

It clumps well and doesn't smell, the crumbs themselves have a faint wheaty smell but not offensive. Gillian has put a pic of chick crumbs on this thread...

Its defo as good as Worlds Best, and a fraction of the price. I started off with WB then the folks on here introduced me to the crumb lol

Its worth making enquiries to all avenues locally, you never know who might be able to get in in terms of garden centres, pet stores etc.

I'll see how we get on with WBCL as it is quite expensive, if it works I'll try ordering some crumb online I think, unless I can bribe my Dad to go to the garden centre on his way home from work, its annoying not driving at times!

Just a thought - you're not near a college that does riding courses at all Leanne? I used to work at a college that kept horses and they could do a good deal on chick crumb. There were three garden centres nearby and none of them stocked it, so the riding school was a godsend.

I get mine from my local garden centre, it has a pet secion in there, and they special order it for me, its under £10 for 20kg so it lasts for ages. Might also be worth asking if you have a pet shop nearby if they can order it in, as its not something most places will normally stock to be honest.
