Jess can't have all felix due to his urinary problems. Plus we're going away this weekend so I don't want to risk him not getting enough water or getting cystitis.

Why oh why are things never easy.

It is his usual food.

We opened a new pouch last night, and it didn't smell good. Jess did eat it though! I feel awful giving it to him if it is off.

I've brought a pouch into work today to survey the office and I'm going to ask our VN too.

I've also ordered food from the vets (which I am annoyed at as its tons more expensive, but we're going away this weekend and I can't be without food) so shall see what thats like.

I ordered this from VetUK so shall be emailing them today and sending them some back.

If you phone them, they will ask for the codes and send you a voucher. That's what I did. I opened a box of Felix and there were tiny flies inside the box  - one of the pouches hadn't been sealed properly. They sent me a £10 voucher  :)

If this is his usual food, you'll be used to the smell of it. If the smell was so bad then I'd send the beef pack back to Felix with a letter explaining your concerns.

Yesterday I gave Jess his usual mix of food. This time is was beef urinary food and beef felix. He picked at it but didn't gobble it down like normal. Hubby picked up the bowl and straight away recoiled at the smell, I sniffed it and it almost made me gag, it smelt bad.

We opened a new pouch of felix (dark green but I can't remember what it was called) and Jess did eat some more. But this morning I noticed the urinary food smelt worse than normal.

All the packets are in date and are kept in a dark cupboard.
