Title: Help with cleaning carpet
Post by: Philip on July 21, 2008, 22:45:16 PM
My new rescue ragdoll Delphi has been toilleting innapropriately and over the weekend, I got my vax carpet cleaner (top of range) out and gave the carpets a good clean. Things smelled better yesterday after and I was happy with the result.

Came back from work today and the smell was worse than before.

Any ideas anyone.

 :thanks:

The best way to deal with it is get your carpets done by a carpet cleaning company ... the  professional machines are 100 times better than anything you can rent / buy and they really do get rid of all smells and stains.

Probably not the answer you wanted was it?

Depending on the size of your room it'll probably only be about £45 - £55 quid and this is cheaper than renting a machine and paying for all the cleaning stuff.

I had mine done just before Christmas and it was like having new carpets it was amazing.  Mind you I was fortunate enough to get them done at "mates rates" so it only cost me £30 for both rooms  ;)

Is the smell pee? Whatever cleaner is used it needs to be biological to break all the proteins down
