A whole year has passed, Bruno, and the pain is still there.  We miss you and talk about you all the time.  We will never forget you, and hope that you are happy playing at the Bridge.

We have opened our hearts to Lewis, a little rescue tabby, and caring for him has helped to ease the pain of losing you.  He isn't you... he is so very very different, but he needs our love, and we need his.  I am sure you would not mind.  We found him because he was also named Bruno, but it was too painful to keep calling him by your name so we renamed him Lewis.

We wish you were still here with us, but it was not to be :(

Love

Meowmy and Daddy

He's so beautiful Reets.  I know a little of what you're feeling, having lost  a few special companions in the last two years, way before I'd hoped we ever would be parted.  It's a very empty feeling.

Thank you all for your kind words.

When my husband picked him up from our neighbours garden his fur was just as it had been when he groomed him that morning - all clean and perfect.  He was as beautiful and dignified in death as he had been in life.

We never took Bru for granted, we always telling him how beautiful and lovely he was and how much we loved him.  We can hardly believe that we will never see his sweet little face again nor hear his gentle purr.   :(

We miss him dreadfully, the house is empty without him, he always made us smile whenever we saw him. We feel a deep, deep sorrow for the missed years he should have had with us.

My husband picked up his ashes on Tuesday evening and if the weather is fine we will lay him to rest with those who have gone before him this weekend.  Its a lovely spot, overlooked by the white lion of Whipsnade (a chalk carving in the hillside).

Oh treasure - I'm so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous boy.   :'( :'(

 Rest in peace Bruno.

9 really was too young, but thank you for the love and laughter you gave to your humans and to whom you really were the sun in their sky and the warmth in their hearts.  Now, you will be their Rainbow Boy.  You will be so missed.

Am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Somali boy Bruno  :(

9 years old is far too young and always difficult to accept the loss of a much loved cat but, when it is so sudden, it can feel especially brutal

RIP darling Bruno  :( :( :(

It is with great sadness that I post to mark the passing of our beautiful and much loved Somali boy, Bruno yesterday.  Bru was 9 years old, and was a gentle, tentative little boy, always anxious to please.  He had so much love to give and was so very much loved by us.  He was fun to be with, and always close by to us.

Yesterday morning, after many cuddles and combs (he loved being groomed), he went out as usual.  At 10.00 am the lady next door knocked on our door to say that the postman had alerted her to the fact that there was a dead cat in her garden, and she knew it was Bruno.  My husband went and got him, he was unmarked, but bleeding from his nose, and his right eye was full of blood, he was already dead, but still warm.  We don't know the cause of his death, but miss him so very much.

Yesterday afternoon as we sat with him on the bench in our greenhouse it started raining and a rainbow appeared.  Later on when we took him to the pet cremation place a huge and bright rainbow appeared just as we arrived there.

He was cremated today.

Bruno had had a previous owner who died so I am sure that Lin, and his sister Tilly will be taking good care of him.

Our hearts are breaking - he is gone way too soon.
