Hello everyone,

Just a quick note to say thanks for your thoughts - it's been 72hrs now and it's still pretty raw - anyway, here's the next photo after the 'nip-cident' posted by mother wibblechick - thought it was a nice one to follow with - he knew damn well you couldn't be cross with that face for long!

Thankfully, Will's sister Cookie (Pic also attached) is doing a good job of keeping my chin up - infact it's rather hard typing this with her tail in my face. She's doing very well, much better than I would have expected (and quite a bit better than me I think!) but I'm sure she'd like to thank you all too!

Willem was just Willem until he came to live with me when they were both about 11. He was soon rechristened Willem Montgomery Two Cats. Montgomery because he seemed such a dignified gentleman and Two Cats because the mewed, purred, ate and shed enough fur to be two cats. Certainly the mewing, he and his sister have been the only cats I've ever known to pronounce syllables! Well, he's left a big hole the size of two cats as well but enough lovely photos and even lovelier memories for about fifteen. I'm not sure where the idea of a rainbow bridge came from but where ever he's gone he's in the same place as my childhood companion Lucky who is still thought of and missed almost 10 years after his passing - I suppose we never really leave them behind.

And on that though - it's off to bed - where Cookie has very quickly decided that Will's old favourite sleeping place is her new one... On my head!

Mah-mow!

xx

Willem went to Rainbow Bridge this afternoon

Willem, you weren't my cat, you lived with my daughter Anne, but I am posting this in rememberance of you and to let you know that you will be SO much missed.  Everyone who met you was charmed by you.  You were such a bug cuddle of a cat  :)  I remember you trying to eat my shoe laces, chew the buttons on my cardigan or wash my hair for me!  And the time you decided my earring might be worth eating!  It still has your tooth marks in it.  :Luv2:

Oh,  your catnip cigar!  You loved that, didnt you ?  Lost all dignitiy when it came out of the toy box.  You'd share your food and Anne with your sister Cookie, even your catnip,  but not that cigar! So many adventures weve all shared  :)

But today weve had to say goodbye to you.  You, Anne, Neil and Cookie live in Manchester.  Im in Chessington, so I couldnt say goodbye to you in person.

This is my tribute to you, Sweetheart!

Safe at the Bridge until Anne come to take you home :)
