Hi Gill, so sorry to hear the very sad, sad news of Franta.

Hope Misa, Sasa and Ducha are give you plenty of loving hugs and cuddles and you them.

Owl sends all her love and will chat to you when you feel ready.

I suggested she rang you this evening but since reading some of the Purrs entries, and what a lot there was too (I think Franta must be sitting on Rainbow Bridge, licking cream of his whiskers, and feeling proud to be friends of so many), I not sure whether you would want her too... please email me as and when you feel ready to take a call and I will let Owl know.

Lots of cuddles to you, Misa, Sasa, and Ducha.

How heartbreaking for you Gill.

He did sound very ill and there was nothing more you or anyone else could have done for the little chap. He was a good age and obviously had a wonderful life - try and focus on that (I know how hard it is).

I completely agree with the others, you have nothing to be forgiven for, and I hope that given time you will see that too, as right now its hard to see anything past the heartbreak

Franta had the most amazing home with you, never wanted for anything, and you gave him all the veterinary care required when he was ill. I'm just so sad that he didn't make it

I cant write a tribute yet and may be in a few days but would like to thank all of your for your lovely words both here and on FB.

Its such a comfort to me and keeping me going as did all your thoughts for him while he was ill.

Your kindness and messages are wonderful.

I hope I can get a bit of sleep but not really sure that I can.

I have to take him back to the vets tomorrow and Gareth was just wonderful tonight.

Today is gonna be such a hard day and the following days.

I miss my special baby man so much and the house is so unbearably quiet without him shouting at me.

Of all the things I remember and always apologized to him after but when I was very stressed and he used to sit in the middle of what I was doing and I would get so mad at him, so many things started and never finished cos he wouldnt let me but now these are the memories of why he was so special.

I so hope he understood that he was loved beyond belief and I would never have put him through today, if I had known about his test results.

I spent a long time with him at the vets tonight and hope he understood that he was so loved, so much loved and will always be loved.

Oh Gill, I am so sorry.

you gave Franta a lovely home where he was well loved and away from those dogs. I still remember the day I turned up with them both and how dazed they were at the move and things they had gone through.
You took them on and gave them a second life and boy! did Franta make the most of it.

RIP Franta, much loved and missed by all of us especially his mum.

Oh Gill I am so so sorry to read this and am in tears for you. Like us all I had hoped and prayed that darling Franta would pull through and nobody could have loved him more or tried harder for him. You shouldn't feel guilty although I know from experience that you will, we all do when something like this happens to one of our own.
