Clapton has horrible brown stains on his legs thesedays. He is always washing so I wonder what could cause it?
He is quite a happy relaxed kitty at the moment :Luv:

It maybe his food and if its a dark brown colour he transfers the colour when he is cleaning himself and it stains................just a thought but I know ad diet did that with Kocka

Ah yes "contains EC permitted colouring" whatever that may be :scared:
Never thought of that - thanks Gill.
The front legs from wiping his mouth and the back legs where he sleeps. I have seen pure white cats that don't have this though - maybe having no teeth adds to it?
btw - I love that position when they are cleaning their belly :Luv:

One of my cats, Bronte, is pure white and she is always coming home with odd marks as is very nosy about garages ;) She does however always have this yellowish stain along her tail but on the top, not the underside. No idea how she had done it but am now wondering is that from cleaning. Its in the curve on her tail from just above where it comes from her back to about half way along.
