Title: Missing tortie - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - RIP Morli
Post by: jezebel on June 18, 2012, 12:07:21 PM
I'm posting this for a colleague whose parents' elderly cat has sadly gone missing.

Morli is a small tortoiseshell with a yellow collar. She lives on Dybdale Crescent off Hardwick Road in Wellingborough and left home on Friday afternoon (15th June). She’s 18 years old so not as fit as she once was but is in very good health for her age.

She's not prone to wandering so her owners are really worried, especially given her advanced years.

If you have any information, please call XXXXX XXXXXX.

[Or PM me and I'll pass on a message.]

Hope she's found safe and sound before too long

Have you passed on the list of hints & tips? http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=305.msg3901#msg3901

Sadly, this little girl has passed away.

She was found in a neighbour's garden, right next door to her home, and it seems as though it was simply her time. Apparently, it looked like she'd made a little nest for herself in long grass, under a shrub, and the garden was one she often went and played in so she must have felt safe.

RIP little one.

Sorry to hear that  :( Very sad but at least they found her instead of the uncertainty of never knowing

RIP Morli, safe and sound at the Bridge by now xx

(P.S I've removed the phone number from your post after this sad update, this post will be here forever and wouldn't want spammers or pranksters ringing them in the future  :shy: )

So sorry to hear this sad news and second what Helen said

Sounds so sweet that she knew and made herself a nest to pass away peacefully but just so sad

RIP Morli play hard on the Bridge

Thanks for removing the phone number TM, I didn't even think about that. :-[

I chatted to my colleague this morning and, yes, they're all relieved to know what happened to her - and to know she seemed to have a peaceful end. Had she been alive, she would have heard them calling her so it seems like she passed away quickly.

Still sad though.

aww goodnight, godbless Morli xx

My boy did a similar thing. It was his time and he decided it was going to be a place of his choosing  :'( but like your friends i was just relieved to know and to get him home - albeit not as i would have liked.

i think cats just do that sometimes - but its nice that she went peacefully, in her sleep with no obvious illnesses.
Big hugs for your friends
