Sending get well vibes to Tom.  Hopefully it's the hairball or he's just a bit under the weather and he'll be fine again very soon.

I think it's "that time of year" - Willow was sick on the (only cleaned last week) stair carpet yesterday and there was a big hairball in it.

He is still a bit on the quiet side, and not quite into scavenging as much, but I am not going to complain about that. I dont think he needs to go back to the vets tonight, will keep an eye on him one more night - gave up with the bland food, he was too hungry to wait for the chicken to cook!!

I hope that the handsome Tom is feeling better today and that it was the hairball that was making him feel poorly.

Sending him lots of cuddles and chin rubs xxx

Sorry, have been trying to limit usage at work to avoid site being banned!! He is still fairly quiet for Tom, but someone has brought up a furball today, so hopefully it was him and that was the prob. I am getting loads of fur off him at the moment, as well.

Sorry for the delay, been a mad day here!! Tom has no temp, and vet couldn't feel anything, so gave him an anti-inflam jab and prescribed bland food - so I went and bought some chicken, as I didn't want him to have too much fish, and he has eaten some, but not really moved much. There is some very loose stools in the tray, but no more sickness yet. If no better by Thurs, we have to go back.

Have popped home at lunch - he is now on the other side of the sofa, has eaten a very small amount. No signs of dehydration, no third eyelinds showing, but he obviously hasn't moved far, cos both Tiger and Molly have food left from their brekkie!! So, I am still worried, but a bit more hopeful.

Poor Tom - hope it's nothing serious.  Hairballs can cause diarrhoea if they are big enough so fingers crossed it may be just that.

I know. I am not sure it is a furball now - just gone to scoop the trays, and there is sort of diarrhea in the tray that only Tom uses. I left him downstairs last night, he didn't run up for his supper (which I was quite glad of in a way, as it meant he might not wake me up as early for more), but he has obviously been upstairs part of the night, been sick and then gone and hid behind the sofa. Wish my vets opened before 9am!!

Ellie, I thought it might be a hairball (although that was before I found the sick!!), but couldn't find the Katalax - as soon as I read your post, I found it, so have given him some. He still hasn't eaten much though, but he did have a lot of excess fur on his back, so I have given him a quick groom too.

Woke up this morning to no cats on the bed, which I thought slightly strange - there was still no sign of Tom by the time I had pressed the snooze button for half an hour and used the loo, so I was getting slightly worried. Then, I noticed he hadn't eaten all his supper, completely unheard of for Tom. Went downstairs, more worried now, and couldn't find him!! He had hid behind the sofa, and wasn't in any hurry to get out, so I made him, and he is just acting really quiet, didn't want to eat or anything. Went upstairs to feed the others, and found quite a bit of sick on teh landing, which must have come from him, so hopefully it is just cos he was sick, but it is still out of character for Tom, so am going to ring the vets as soon as they open to book him in. If my vets are full, he will have to go to the rescues vet. Please keep your fingers crossed it is nothing too serious.
