You could take a photo each month and then you could compare any small change in it.
Glad Star is ok  :)

Her ears should be fine unless the fur is quite thin on them. Fingers crossed for the person at work's cat.

thanks Desley, luckily although she is mainly white on the body she has tabby ears and tail so I'm hoping the ears won't be a problem, someone at work is having their cat treated for cancer on the nose at the moment which is probably why I am a little paranoid.

I am glad that the vet wasn't concerned, and I woudl defo start putting suncream on her nose, and trying to keep her in between 12 and 3 to avoid the hottest rays from th sun. Nasal SCC is harder to treat than if it was somewhere like the ears.

the vet didn't seem too concerned about it, but did say we should keep and eye on it and also in summer maybe put something on it.  I'll be taking her back next month for her program injection anyway so will see a different vet and ask again if I'm still worried

How did you get on at the vet? It is quite young for sun related damage though.

to be honest she is three and I've only had her since September so I don't know how much time she has spent outside she had had a few litters before so she obviously hadn't been kept indoors.  I am just concerned about how quickly it has turned up, it just appeared over night.  Her nose is very, very pale pink

Does she spend a lot of time in the sun? Best to ask vet to take a skin-scraping.
Probably just a freckle, but wise to have this checked, especially if the nose is white.
Cats were once gods; they have never forgotten this, nor have the people they own.

Star has developed a freckle on her nose, literally in the last week.  She has a very pale pink nose, could it be anything serious, I have an appointment with the vet on Friday.
