That is unbelievable.
Lottie - consults shouldnt be charged for vaccs, but that does sound expensive!! But, dont forget each area is different due to overheads, wages etc.
Please spay your cat

I have never known a vet round here charge a consultation fee for vaccinations. or boosters. If they did the cost would be over the £100 mark anyway.

Boosters for the triple are £30, consultation would be £22 ish. & Milbemax £4 ish

Well if they didn't charge me a consultation fee in the summer when Bilbo and Tigger had their boosters then I dread to think how much they charged for the jabs lol! I paid for 2 Milbemax tablets as well as their boosters and the bill was something like £96! I nearly died!
When Bilbo and Tigger go in for their FIV/FeLV blood tests at beginning of April I'll check with the vet about what their policy is for consultation charges for multiple cats.

I was charged £12.12 for Canaural, its £5.95 on VetUK   :censored:

I do get a bit xross about how much vets charge. Yes I understand they want/need to make profit but more than doubling the cost is taking the p*** slightly I think.

There is no way you should pay two consulation charges to start with.

My vets do as far as I am aware. Going to make vaccinating kittens bloomin expensive later in the year.

Many vets will charge a consultation charge for each cat, although it seems a little harsh in this case. I would most certainly ask the vets to confirm the cost of the potions and lotions though.

That's disgusting.  I would question it with the vet this may be a mistake made by the receptionist.  There is no way you should pay two consulation charges to start with.

I was charged £16.99 each for the Canaural !
Just looked on the net and can get if for £10.99 each with a prescription, the Virbac spray is £13.00 and Stronghold for £13.99

so could have saved almost £40 !!

I was also charged 2 lots of consolation charges !!

Good grief! That's extortionate. Surely the canaural should do the job all by itself and that retails at around £7 as far as I'm aware.

I hate the way some places take advantage of an owners genuine affection for their pet.

Just got back from taking Rocky and Lilly to the vets as they have ear mites

IT COST ME £125 !! :censored:

They both had an antinflamatey (sp) injection
Both got a bottle of Canaural 25ml
One packet of Stronghold
and a can of Virbac (as they had flea dirt so vet said treat the house)

I AM TOTALLY GOBSMAKED- no wonder alot of people dont take their animals to the vet !!!
