Title: Insurance - quick question
Post by: Steff - Petsearch Bedford HQ on May 16, 2011, 13:11:37 PM
I know insurance has been discussed a lot but I just had a quick question:

Per condition or per year cover?

I think per year is best but I couldn't remember!

Definitely per year, especially for younger cats.

Eg 'Per condition' - once you've spent 7k on a certain condition perhaps over a couple of years (easy with MRI's etc) then that's it, you can't claim for that condition any longer even though the cat may have 10 years left to live. 'Per year' means you could spend 7k on vets bills in total each and every year, even if it was on the same condition.

Thanks guys :)

That was my understanding, Helen, but just wanted to double check.

I currently have insurance with Direct Line, need to check the cover and possibly change plus I need to add the boys!
