I know a lot of Purrs members don’t read the rescue section because they find it upsetting, so as its nearly Easter (it is, honestly :cold: ), I thought I would make a more general post to let you see how Paws Inn is benefitting from your generosity in the 2012 Christmas auction. :thanks:
We haven’t gone mad with the money so are in the rare and enviable position of having funds in reserve for those unpredictable expenses that are so much a feature of cat rescue. How Teresa would have loved that. We have, however, replaced all of our well-worn Russell Hardy scratchpost/beds with new ones, and not before time as you can see from the first picture which is representative of the condition they were all in.
As President of Paws Inn, Olly felt he had to give them the seal of approval before they were put into the pens and I was just too late with the camera to get a shot of him having a good scratch on one of the big ones.

They’ve been very well received and even timid-as-a-churchmouse cat Dainty couldn’t resist coming out to investigate when one of the smaller ones was installed in the pen she shares with other long-term resident Fontaine. :Luv2:
We needed all the doors open at the same time to replace the bigger posts meaning the cats had to go in carriers which stressed Dainty a bit. Bee on the other hand was excited by all the activity and gave her new furniture a very thorough inspection.

Lovely pics, :thanks: Carol
It's nice to think that the Paws Inn cats, both current and future, will benefit from the lovely new 'furniture' :)

Thanks for this Carol as I am one of the members who gets soooo upset in the other bits and can't bring myself to look even though there are lots of happy endings.
Love Dainty, his little pink tongue is sooo cute :Luv2:
