Title: Help-stray cat urgently needs a new home (Uknown Outcome)
Post by: Kathryn on November 29, 2010, 14:48:47 PM
i recently brought in a stray cat because of the snow who now desperatly needs a home. ive done lots of checking and phoning round to ensure the cat doesnt belong to anyone but cause of the terrible weather recently im very reluctant to put him back outside.
he has been back and forth ofr several months now but over the past two weeks has been outside the house day and night, he is a black and white neutered male who really needs some tlc, the fur on his back is quite thin and a little patchy and im unsure of how many teeth he actually has as he appears to swallow the cat biscuits whole...so i have given him wet food instead. im not sure of his age but as a rough guess i would say hes no younger than 1-2 years but i could be wrong
the problem is i already have two cats who are not at all amused about the new arrival and i also have three ferrets and it really isnt practical to keep him too.
if you can offer him a home or want any more information please please get in touch.
im in middlesbrough and will be willing to drop him off locally.

Have you had a look on the NPR to see if this little lad is listed as "missing" :

the poor thing, i do hope his owners turn up or a new home is found soon. i have a real soft spot for stray cats, and i'll pass the word on amongst friends and family.

Have you spoken to the local CP yet?

Even if they are unable to take him in at the moment, they will hopefully pay for a vet check & any treatment needed + add him to the waiting list.

That is what our branch would do (we are in Kent) - hopefully others would as well.
