No news really, still quite poorly, goes back to his normal vets tomorrow morning so I will find out more then,

I agree with horza

Likely culprit is warfarin

will stop blood clotting or could seriously slow clotting time

In humans, overdosage of warfarin is counteracted with vitamin K

Thanks Sarah... Me too, He such a big strapping boy aswell, its scary.

Thanks hOrZa, They have good vets(hopefully!)

Sad thing is, Its been a long list of poorly cats that they have sadly lost, Brain problems and even being shot with those awful BB gun things, so hopefully Ben will be stronger

Hi all, sorry if this thread should be somewhere else.

Its concerning my dads cat, Several weeks ago, his cat Ben was suddenly very poorly, when they took him to the vets it turned out to be a Urinary Tract problem. After a quite serious operation and medication etc he was back home and perfectly well.

Over the next couple of days that followed he was up and down and back and forth to the vets for various things and medication but was looking OK.... Untill I got a phone call this morning, Ben was rushed to the vets again last night as he hadn't been eating then vomited blood, It now seems that its possible Kidney failure !!!!

He has been taken to the 24 hour vets and half an hour ago I got another phone call to say the vets now think it may be rat poison and he may not survive.

It all seems surreal and my dads wife is in bits,

Just wanted some advice... about anything....
