This site allows you to search for flat-shares etc and one of the search criteria is 'pets allowed' http://www.spareroom.co.uk/

You should really get some legal advice on this. I'm pretty sure landlords can't start objecting to conditions that were previously acceptable.

According to the CAB advice guide, changes have to be agreed by both the landlord and the tenant: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_family/home_and_neighbourhood_index_ew/renting_a_home_index_ew/tenancy_agreements.htm#Changing_the_tenancy_agreement

And it's the same on DirectGov: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HomeAndCommunity/Privaterenting/Tenancies/DG_189119

You can't change the world by rescuing one cat, but for that one cat you are changing its world.

... but I'm going to ask anyway.

My landlady, after 3 years of allowing pets, has decided that they are unhygienic, which means I am now looking for a new home. :(

Does anyone know of any friendly flatshares in London for me and one well-behaved feline?

Thanks a lot :)
