Will there be a Purrs Cat show this year?
Just wondered as it was about this time last year.

Sadly not :shy: The show has always been great fun and has raised a lot of dosh but it also involves a huuuuuge amount of behind the scenes work which none of the mods felt they were able to commit to this year for various reasons.
Tan was going to try and come up with another, less labour intensive, fundraiser for the summer so any input or ideas gratefully received ;D
If anyone one has been saving pics for the show then put us out of our misery and post them for us to swoon over or alternatively save them for next year when, fingers crossed, the cat show will be resurrected :wow:

Awww that's a shame, but must be a lot of work. Will try and think of an idea for fundraising if I can.

Thats a shame, but it is hard to fit in everyday life besides any extra. What about a one photo per member, one fixed donation? Open category?

I for one was going to enter pics of all my eight puddins this year, so I'll send £16 to Busters fund instead of an entry fee, and post my pictures on here for all to see without the anguish of having them judged. :shify:
I know my babies are beautiful anyway and they're all winners in my eyes, but my photography skills just aren't equal to their natural beauty :Luv:

Maybe we can do an informal Fun vote at the end, with a virtual Rosette awarded for the winner? And voluntary contributions to Buster's Fund for the entrants? Hmm?

Leave it with me and I'll give it some thought but, as I'm in charge :innocent: , I'm imposing a deadline of midnight next Friday for posting pics, voting up to midnight on Saturday with announcement of the one and only winner on Sunday. Short, sweet and as few rules as possible. Anyone can post a pic altho it might help if it's a pic of a cat ;) and everyone entirely on their honour to make a donation of whatever they can afford to Busters Fund :)
Voting by sending me a PM prob a good idea but I think I'm gonna restrict voting to one vote per human member and no voting for your own furbabes? That should keep it simple and utterly impossible ;)

The late great Master riley feral of the Clan cats who died of Robotic cat syndrome in January this year
The late great Smudger feral came from a colony that was poisoned he mastered life on the inside then mastered the inddor/outdoor thing and sadly died in March this year never having recovered from his stroke 8 months ago waited for his daddy to come home and died in his sleep at home surrounded by the Clan cats and dogs
My nastiest feral master Ace do you want to play :evillaugh: and to those who worry about feral adapting they do like life on the inside!!!!

Our lovely babe has 6 toes on each front pawsie and her dew claws are on her back pawsies in addition to the usual back pawsie allotment :)
However, contrary to popular belief, she has yet to use it to open tins of cat fud :shify:

Tufty's saving grace, apart from his meltingly gorgeous looks obviously, is that he will NOT pee indoors (which is quite likely why he came down with UTI when we first trapped him). Oh, and he eats pretty much anything with Wellbeloved written on it, he's easy to look after as long as you don't need consistency from a cat...
So, if you love to be ambushed, then cuddled, then bitten hard onna nose, then loved-up, then clawhugged round the ankles, then snoozled, then swiped across the eye, then chin rubbed...etc etc Tufty is definitely your guy.
Try rehoming that one :shify: Allcomers welcome, his insurance premium currently stands at £17 per month :oh well:

Boris playing video however got stared at then she tapped the screen when it stopped. Im not getting another cat but maybe if I win the lottery or something I may try a ginger pud :naughty:

and this is in memory of a cat who was and still is very special to me -his name was Andrew -a rescue lad who was brain damaged he thought he was a kitten and was a big lad ! He had a type of Stomatitis and despite every treatment he died in front of me at work in the Vets -a day i will never forget -and somehow when i was asked to assess Boris and see if he had a life to live it was almost as if Andrew was there .

I'm going to hoover/clean Moses area, just incase he comes home, just incase allergens are existant and cause him troubles as yourself and the vet pointed out.
Hopefully will be back with good news, but i'm prepared for the worst.

Ok so I've had him 6 days now and already I'm in love! What a loving (and trouble making) little man. He wears himself out playing and then falls asleep in his hammock (or on your lap, in a mixing bowl, in my desk drawer, under my hat......)

I wouldn't say Tompuss is a mild mannered lapcat really. That's just one of his quieter moments! He's full of fun and loves playing, but a real softy at times too. A really all round lovable character. :) :Luv:
