Whew! So glad she's OK. Have altered the thread title so that people know and don't dive in in a panic.  :innocent:

So glad this little one has found a home, although I'm mortified that a neighbour heard the accident and didn't think to take the little one to the vets themselves  >:(

I think the "my story" approach really works. It made my eyes water  :'(

Underneath that tough exterior, you're just a big softie Mark  :cuddle:

Whatever the reason, I'm so pleased she got a home out of it  :)

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Have they tried Battersea Dogs Home? It's a 30 minute ride on the 137 from Streatham Hill (the bus garage), and they will take cats at the door day or night.

Someone mentioned a lady recently who particularly wanted a special needs cat. Was it Sharon? - I wish I could help this poor mite. There must be someone who can help this poor girl  :'(

I've just received this email, can anyone help this little babe  :'(  :'(

My name is Jessi. I am a beautiful female (I have been spayed), green eyed,
ginger tabby cat. I am also very special because ginger females are very
rare. I am still very kittienish as I am only 3 years old - typical of a
ginger, I am affectionate, purry & luvvy when I am tired after a hard day of
catching imaginary butterflies, leaping over high fences, exploring gardens,
rolling over and sunbathing in the summer. I love resting near my mum and
dad in the evening. In every way possible I am a typical ginger pussycat -
it is not out of my character to stay out late sometimes. I also love being
with children.

In April 2007 approx. I was hit by a car outside my house – the car sped on
regardless. A neighbour heard the impact and came out to see what happened.
She found me curled up on my doorstep – I had managed to drag myself home.
Mum and Dad go to work and did not realise anything had happened until they
got home.

Dad took me straight to the emergency vet, who wanted to put me down that
night. But the bottom line is that I pulled through. I lost my tail and I am
paralysed from the tail down so that I don’t know when I am doing a little
poo. I can control my wee as usual, which I do outside.

If you take me on you may find a couple of poo nuggets in my bed, which you
will need to remove every day with a tissue and flush down the toilet.

In every other way I am completely normal, but because mum and dad work and
they have young children, they are finding it a bit difficult to manage when
they are away from home.

The only other alternative is that I will have to go to cat heaven, by the
vet who helped me through the weeks after the accident.

I was fully vaccinated in July 2007 and have full health records. I am also
micro-chipped in case I get lost.

If anyone can help, can they pm me or post on this thread asap  :wish:
