Oh Pav I am so sorry , it definately sounds like an ear problem which is what vestibular is and the eye movement is a clear sign of this.

I do hope that he can be helped and sending all the good wishes in the world  to Boy

Oh poor Boy, he must be so bewildered by what is happening to him. This link here has some info, it seens that inner ear infection is a common cause - so if it is that, then the antibiotics and steroids will hopefully begin to work very soon - http://www.vetspecialists.co.uk/06_Animal_Welfare/Neurology_Facts/Vestibular_Syndrome.html:hug:

Thanks every one.

Gillian, i really dont know whats happening? I just went and searched for Vestibular Syndrome but it doesnt say anything about tumour, i think because Boy has cancer the vet thought its possible to be tumour .
I went to sit in bedroom with him but he started hissing at me, i was shocked and confused, its so unlike him but he looked really scared and at the moment he cant stand so i am hopping the antibiotic injection helps. I put lots of small pillows around him so if he gets up and fall he doesnt hurt himself :( If any one has any advise please tell me. Thankx

I hope it is just an inner ear infection and that the antibiotics etc will sort Boy out. It must be scarey to watch him like that Pav, and be unable to help him. I wouldnt have thought it would come on so suddenly if it is was a tumour? Keeping everything crossed for him, and you

Please send Boy some good vibes, i had to rush him to the vets this evening :( He was fine all day and spent most of the afternoon outside in his little house, came in and had some thing to eat and went to my bedroom. Around 6.30 i went upstairs to give him his chemo tablet and i noticed his ear and head is bend to the right, he got up to come towards me but lost his balance and couldnt stand it just didnt feel right i have never seen him like this before and the first thing came to my head was stroke.
I called the vet and asked them if they wait for me to take him in they close at 7, thank god i spoke to them earliear today about Phoebe so they said to take him, as soon as she saw him she said his eyeballs are going back and forth and she can see how his head tilts wayoff to one side. She said its VESTIBULAR SYNDROM :'( she wasnt his usuall vet so i told her about lymphoma and all his med and thyroid so she said it could bean inner ear infection or tumour, if its tumour and cancer the only way to find out is by MRI but she also said is no point of puting him through that and more tests because he already is having treatment for cancer, she said it was right thing to take him in .
She didnt rule out the stroke and said she is going to give him a steroid injection and antibiotic injection and wants to see him tomorrow and get his blood presure. I cant remember if she said its treatment for Vestibular syndrome or not every thing happened so quick but she said some times in cats it gets so bad that they loose all their balance and keep rolling :( some thing to do with the control center in the brain.
I better go now and stay with him he is in my bedroom, poor Boy he has been through so much in last 15 months :'( I'll  monitor him tonight, its just so sad to see him falling to one side he is a big cat and its heart breaking ,please keep him in your thoughts. Thankx

Thankyou every one, i am really sorry i havent reply, i think Ruth said it all  :thanks:

Thankyou Chrissie, Christine, Gill and Gillian and every one, i do find it difficult some times to write because  when i look at Boy it breaks my heart and i just want to pretend everything is fine and treat him as normal then its easier to deal with everyday life, i did come on line last night very late to check on Mabel because i was worried about her and i did see Boys tread but i just couldnt update because like now the tears are just running down my face and tbh i am so tired and not well my self with my back and when i get stressed and tired my back gets worse and then i cant sleep and then comes mornings and i feel like zombies :innocent:

TBH Boy is still the same , some days he is ok and some he just seems as he has no energy and just doesnt show any interest in food or going out for his little walks, so i have been coming home everyday from work at lunch time to check him and bring him fresh food in the bedroom and
just spend little time and then i go back to work, he is due to see Caroline on 20th but i may call and take him next week instead, he just hate the blood test and he is due for one since he didnt have one last month :(
I will see what Caroline says after she gets the results and then we go from there.
Phoebe is doing not too bad, she still scracth herself really bad but her face is ok now and after one year now she has moved down stairs and uses the bedroom just for afternoon rest, bless her, she decided to move under the stairs where Boy some times sprays which surprised me so i had to move every thing around for her and now she has an IKEA fleec and a little empty box which she hides behind and then with her little face looks at me and Boy as she is playing hide and S, it just melts my heart and she loves going out really late at night when is nice and quiet out side around 1 or 2 am but there are people who bring their dogs out at that time and the dogs are not on lead, so i have to stay with her and watch her
And since my last post Mr Tramp has been here only twice, which i dont understand why he used to come every night almost same time and i really dont think he gets his food some where else because every time he is here he is starving and i cant work out what stopes him from coming every night!
:thanks: again every one for all your kind posts , it means a lot.x

I'll most likely see Pav this weekend so will get an update for everyone if Pav doesn't come online herself.

I won't be speaking out of turn here, knowing Pav as well as I do, to say that as her time with Boy gets shorter, Pav finds it difficult to post, especially if there is no change or if things have worsened. Loving Boy as much as Pav does it just breaks her heart to write. Rest assured that Pav will post as soon as she is up to it and I know that she appreciates everyone's thoughts. Work also tends to get busy so that could be a factor in her not being up to logging in and replying as she gets pretty tired so spends all her time with the babies at home.

I'll be in touch if Pav isn't by the weekend if there is an update.

I'm sorry Pav.  I know that feeling of not knowing what to expect everytime they are off, I had it with Dragan the last year of his life.  It's horrid.  It could well be that BOY is reacting to the change in his feeding routine and maybe the hot weather is getting to him too.  I hope those are the reasons.  Big hug to you all

Thanks Chrissie for asking, sadley Boy is not doing so well :'( Since his last visit to the vets and changing his feedind routine, not to put any food down and then changing it again cos he got upset and started weeing , he hasnt been well, in last 2 weeks he doesnt even get up in the morning for his breakfast and this is not like Boy ! He used to wake up and be ready before i leave the bed , but in last 2 weeks i come down get ready preapare Phoebe's food cos she eats in bed :) and he just dont come down any more :-: so i take the food to himmand tonight when i was telling my neighbour she reminded me that its been 9 months since his first diagnose and Caroline said he will have months even up to a year :'(

I really wish i wasnt told how long he has left then we could just carry  on as normal !I went through this with DD and i was told she has around 4 weeks, and few days later she got really sick :'( and cos of the wrong timing and Xmas holiday everything went wrong with how she was put to sleep and now with Boy and thinking few more months to go, i am not sure what to expect every time he is not well!!

Well i am too emotional now so i update later for MR Tramp and rest of us. :hug:x Thankx

Thankx Caroline

Boy is doing well but the idea of not leaving any food during theday didnt work, He got really upset not having food around and started weeing every where so i had to leave dry food out for him and he stoped  I know he needs to loose weight but i dont want him to be unhappy since i know and was told  last December he has only months, up to a year left  :( I know the vet tells me what is best for Boy but i want him to be happy and have the best since the end in few months is inevitable . x
