Had even more breakthroughs today with 'the Moj' as we call him! Got home from work early as I'd been on a course and moj was downstairs and has been around and about all afternoon since. He's definitely getting confident and even managed to give Oscar a sniff on the nose without either of them moaning (progress! yay!) Mojo also had his first steps into the garden and came outside with me supervised while I was cleaning the bunnies out. He had a good old sniff about and then got spooked by a loud breeze and shot in like a rocket  he's so sweet but defintely scared of his own shadow! Been really nice having him around the house now he's feeling more at home  :Luv2:

Hope you're ok Leigh

Thought I would give you the update on how Mojo's settling. He spent the first few days hiding under the blanket only coming out when I came into talk to him. He then progressed to confidence in 'his' room and even tolerated visits from jasper but wasn't too impressed when Oscar and Monty became intrigued. Well my beautiful boy is a real scaredy cat. He's super confident with OH and I now and is rather bossy towards Jasper  :evillaugh: Slowly and surely he was happy to graze round all of the upstairs rooms. He thinks that the upstairs is 'his' and has even been known to give a glare if others have dared enter his territory! Luckily the other boys are not put off and so they are slowly getting more and more used to each other- I hardly notice and grumbles the majority of meetings.
Mojo has seen the stairs as a bit of a wall for him though as many puds do when they first move in to a new home but the last couple of days he has been venturing downstairs more and more. He oftens launches himself under the sofa to watch everything from a safe distance but he's getting really confident :D
He's such a big tart though, so funny. He comes and sits with me on the bed while I read my book every night and I can't actually do any reading he wants so many cuddles! He spends most of his life rolling on his back for a tummy rub. I am of course hapopy to oblige!!! He's so lovely and becoming such a big part of the family.  :Luv2:

Yesh we're getting there. He still hasn't really met Oscar or Monty yet- I want him and Mr Sociable Jasper to be solid friends before he faces the other 2! (Especially field Marshall Monty who is the boss of the house!) Oscar pops his head around the door every so often but doesn't seemed too fussed. Mojo and Jasper are definately getting more used to each other thogh as the piccies show. Jasper seems to expect that they will be bestest buds straight away but Mojo is still sussing him out. Once he realises how much mischief there is to be had, I am sure he will be keen to get involved!  He's making lovely progress though and is a real sweetie! I just can't wait for the rough and tumbles but know that make take a while yet.

I thought I heard him meow for me today  :scared: And I still keep seeing him out the corner of my eye!

Smudge still hasn't managed to tear himself apart from the catnip covered mouse!

I can't wait to hear about those terrible two getting up to all sorts and driving you mad!

Got some more piccies of the gorgeous Moj! He even managed to stay still long enough for me to get a tummy pic.  :Luv2: Jasper is soooooo desperate to be his friend but I have explained to him that he must be patient and then they will be best buds.

What was Mojos cat mummy called, out of interest?

just checked. Her name was Molly but I don't know how she came to be with us as I did not keep records back then. Mojos two siblings went to a home together and Molly was homed with Bigfoot.
I don't think the kittens were born here - in fact found the original thread and now I remember.

http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,6518.0.html

They were all handed in by the owner who couldn't be bothered with all the mess - I think they were the kids cats and of course the kids didn't look after them......

As Mojos FIRST and only real mummy....

Something you're not telling us, Angie? Are you a cat....? ;) What was Mojos cat mummy called, out of interest?

Glad he's settling in, I would imagine it makes things ever so slightly less painful when a cat goes to a home it seems at ease in straight away. (It did when Rosella took Noni into her family.)

As Mojos FIRST and only real mummy, I want to thank you and ask if he still has the wonderful spotty tummy he had as a kitten or has it now changed.

Today is the first day I haven't cried coming on here.  :-[

I can't wait to see photos of Mojo and Jasper playing... I think they were made for each other!
Mojo needs a good play fight, all that energy was bottled up here with D & S who just ran away from him!   :tired:

He's definately a bit confused but as soon as you go up for a cuddle, all his timidness goes away! He certainly loves a fuss. Once he is brave enough to come down the stairs- I am sure he will be a complete attention seeker!
In terms of the other cats, Mojo and Jasper have met and that was fine- they nosed each other and then I think Jasper realised that Mojo wasn't quite ready to play so walked away. Oscar and him have met too and looked at each other and that was about it... Monty on the other hand, has no idea that there is another cat in the house! lol. I put Mojo's blanket in the lounge so they could get used to his scent and Monty was straight on it, curled up! I'm not sure he even realises that it smells of others- just saw it as nice and comfy! He's far too put out today to worry about anything other than the fact that I dared to groom his tummy! lol
I think the other cats are used to new additions so it doesn't seem to phase them too much. It was only a few weeks ago that Monty moved in so they are very adaptable :D Jasper is extremely sociable too- wants to be friends with everyone, which does help a lot!
My friend Jacky (& branch co-ordinator so general mad cat lady) came round and Mojo made a fuss of her too so he's definately feeling more at home all the time. It's really nice being off so I can give him a fuss when he wants it.

Well I must say he looks devastated!  :sneaky:

Not even a hint of missing Mummy and Daddy?!! He looks settled already. How are your other kitty's? Curious yet?

Dylan and Smudge are like different cats today, they have been affectionate and playful and greeted OH at the front door after work today!
Maybe they were just unhappy with Mojo as he was so different in personality to them???? I dont know.
But we still miss him though  :(
