and so you should. Try to think about the impact a cat's tongue would have on injured tender bits. Ouch. It just doesn't bear thinking about really   :-:

Apache and Squaw are back safe and sound.  :) But boy... are they cross with me!  :tired: :shy:

While they were away, I gave their pen a nice clean and lined it with extra soft bath towels to rest their sore bits on. Were they greatful..?

Squaw immediately jumped in the laundry hamper and keeps squirming around and around trying to get the vet smell out of her coat... but why does she want to smell like my dirty undies?  :-:

Apache just kept eating and eating. Then he went for a clean of his bits, but must have reached the vital bit and suddenly stopped and looked up at me with this awful, awful scowl...  :-[

I feel like Jack the Ripper..  :(

Yes we're all back safe and sound. I had a bit of a manic day at work, so couldn't log on here, but it was good in a way as it kept my mind off it all.

I picked them up at 5 and they're fine. They hopped out of the carrier and immediately went over to where their food bowls usually are. I cooked them some chicken and rice. Whilst that was cooking they were jumping on the sofa, attacking the plant ... so much for what it says in the aftercare, don't let them run around and jump on things!!! I tried keeping them calm and putting them on the sofa and gently talking to them and stroking them, but they just want to get up. They scoffed the food, even the rice, so I'll cook them a bit more a bit later on. It must be nice for them to get something nice and warm in their tummies.

So I'm now spending the evening trying to keep them out of trouble!!!

Thanks for all the comments guys  :Luv:. How's Apache and Squaw? xxx

One's definately a girl.

The other I've never been able to look properly ;)

I'll let the vet decide!

Good luck for today, they'll be absolutely fine.

Best bit of advice, try not to clockwatch as it makes the day go so much slower when you're waiting to call the vets for progress

I'm sure they'll all be fine, and will eat like crazy when they get home ;)

Course, Harley & Quinn go in near the 15th of this month and I'm sure I'll be worried sick! We decided to have them go in whilst we are off for a week so I can watch out for stitch pulling.

I feel the same.  :'( Apache and Squaw are going for the snip this morning as well. They looked up at me and their little faces were so confused. They're hungry and I just can't feed them...  :'(

They will be fine but its normal to worry for them. I hate the not feeding them bit as they obviously don't understand  :(

Thanks guys  :Luv:.

Well we're all ready to leave in about 15 mins. At the moment they just keep sitting where their food usually is and crying at me with a really sad look on their faces, I feel so mean!! I'm feeling pretty sick to be honest, feels like I'm going in to have something done! I know they'll be fine and they'll be in good hands, but have  just got really bad butterflies! I'm sat here with a cup of camomile tea trying to calm myself. I'm off to work after dropping them off, so I'll be kept busy with lots of people around me.

Anyway, better go and give them lots of kisses

Belle went straight to where his food goes as soon as I let him out of the carrier. Daisy hasn't really bothered yet. Fergus and Polly will be grand  ;D

Fingers crossed for Fergus and Polly tomorrow, I'm sure they'll be just fine   I gave the boys some Hills AD when they got home then they had some lightly grilled chicken breast :drool;  You could ask the vets about glueing Polly's wound (think I read something about internal stitches aswell ), lots of people on here have had it done with good results.

Hi,

Fergus and Polly are going in tomorrow morning for their fun day out at the vets  :'(. Is there anything else I need to get ready or do when I get them back?? I'll get them some nice dinner, fish or chicken, for tomorrow evening, although they may not be hungry straight away.

I'll let you all know how they get on

Emma x
