Title: FOUND black cat, walthamstow
Post by: imbanksy on April 03, 2012, 12:05:33 PM
Sweet all-black cat with a collar (but no info) has been in my garden since yesterday.

Gender unknown. Currently residing in a big box full of cushions and blankets since housemate is allergic.
I've given him/her food and water, and will be checked for a microchip this afternoon.

Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Still caring for him.

Found out he's a boy, no microchip, not neutered. He's most likely a house cat.

I can't find his owner and no one's reported him missing ANYWHERE, so I'm thinking he's been abandoned :(

I can't find anywhere that will take him in either, I've tried RSPCA, Blue Cross, Cats' protection and all the smaller local shelters I can find, but they're all full.

Unfortunately I'm moving house in the next couple of days, so I have the choice of leaving him to fend for himself (which I'm not happy about, considering how upset he was when I found him), or taking him with me when I move (a 40 minute drive and potentially taking him away from his owner).

So what do I do? :(

tbh the first thing a good owner would do his get him neutered, the fact that he isn't probably means he doesn't have one or one that has lost interest

Thanks guys

Hopefully found a home for him at Cat Cuddles, but he'll have to move with us anyway as they can't take him until next week.

rescue is the best way to go, they'll neuter him and check out any new homes, its kind of you to take care of him!

It is so good of you to take care of the lovely boy  Sadly some wouldn't have done which is why he came to be on his own  I hope he soon finds a forever loving home.
Please give him a cuddle from me

I believe Cat Cuddles is an excellent place and am sure they will sort him out and find him a great home  ;D

OMG I don't believe I've missed this.

I'm in Walthamstow - how can I help?

Our local rescue is Cat and Kitten Care http://charliemeyer03.tripod.com/

Believe me they will not allow a lost cat to left out in the cold. They will also help with neutering etc as they work in partnership with Palmerston Vets on Wyatts Lane.

Do please let me know what I can do to help.
