I'm going to pop in again tomorrow to see if they have any more and also get another couple of the scratch posts, but I've decided against the kitten ones because I'm a bit concerned with them swallowing the wool

The ones with rubber to stabilise the dish? I bought some of the other style last time they were on offer and my cats seem to quite like them.

I've bought mine another one of the triangular shaped post and also a couple of the other kitten post. Although these look quite nice, I'm not really impressed. Emily has been wrecking the pom poms on them and pulling all the wool out

She is comical as she growls like mad whilst wrecking them, but I'd be a bit concerned if any of them swallowed the strands of wool, so a close eye has to be kept on her whilst playing with it. I also bought a couple of the dishes with the stands, these are ideal for the kitten cages and it stops them knocking the dishes of water over.

yes, I think they like their 'caves' to be off the ground at least a foot. Right on the ground like that, and without a low barrier at the entrance, it is too exposed for them to feel safe ...

The bottom bit is big enough for an adult to sleep in but they'd have to be curled up and it's not really big enough for a 'big' cat. Neither Tiggy nor the boys have ever showed an interest in sleeping in it though!

Ahhhh, Madam Tiggy looks lovely in that picture.

So, the bottom is big enough for an adult cat to sleep in? My concerns are (a)that they wouldn't be able to use the cubby and (b)the scratching area wouldn't give them adequate "stretch" so they wouldnt use it!

Not sure about the red ones but you can see the rough size of the blue one in comparison to the gorgeous Tiggy in this pic

She wasn't overly fussed and had to be lured in with some catnip and a mouse but she was 18 so understandable

Can anyone give me rough measurements for these cat posts? (Specifically the red/burgundy one if possible!) I think they look great fun, but if they're too big my partner won't be happy with another ridiculously large post appearing! (Not that I blame him, we have a pretty huge one in the corner of our living room and I'd want this one for the front room!)

They are a decent size, Tom was somewhere between 7 and 8kg at the time I bought mine and he could sit on it, as could Ginger at just over 5kg. It doesn't get used much now though, so I might not bother again, although I wanted teh blue one.

There was a huge thread on Catchat about them last year and we all posted pics of the kittens playing on them,really good value; am sure I remember Desleys Tom on one too.
I bought 6 last year and will probably get another 6 this year.

I must steer well clear of those. I bought a huge one for mine but none of them would go near it. I think they probably have to be introduced to them young. Anyway, its earning its keep at Caroline's now (One of Sharon's fosterers)
I would love to see them play on one
