hi,
i have some of the pawprints puddy cats on the wonderful CAT CHAT site, and they told me about this forum so i thought i'd visit and say hi :)
i run a cat rescue by myself on the whole, from home in stoke-on-trent, with a few other furry species who have arrived along the way!
the gang send purrs, wuffs and squeaks to you all :)

Hi Faye and Happy New Year. Sorry to whine, but can you use either bold, or black to type - it makes my eyes hurt trying to read red on grey!

Welcome to Purrs, nice to have more rescue people on here. Hope next year is a good one for you, how long have you been doing rescue work?

desley - hi :) i set up pawprints in 1999 after fostering for a few years previously to that.
i work by myself and try to give the cats the best i can before they go into new homes, i get all the cats neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (my vets have just trained me to microchip myself which works out much cheaper!), with those with health, age or behaviour issues living with me on a permanent basis. luckily my vets are fantastic, i couldn't do as much as i do without their support. i homecheck everyone before they meet the puddys too, and do follow up checks and give follow up support when needed. hopefully i get it all as right as i can. i'm always in a financial crisis, like most rescues no doubt! they are so worth it though, to get them out of bad situations and into loving, comfortable and caring homes is fab :Luv:

if you email me at faye.pawprints@btinternet.com i'll give you the postage address. cheques need to be payable to 'pawprints animal rescue'. i'll have to check how many badges are left - they have been selling them on the counter at my vets, not sure how many are left. i'll be getting more very soon though anyway, depends on how many you want?

:thanks: i definitely have 3 - - i've just found 5 badges here at home - - - 2 pink, 2 orange and 1 red. i'll save whichever colours you want. i usually have pawprint badges too which are gorgeous, but they didn't have any last time i tried to get some more, although they are making more soon.

i think its a fab forum, and have found some fundraising ideas which is brill. it's lovely to see other people's rescue work too :)

Hi Faye have just looked around your web site its fab. Sophies story reminded me of when we went to an animal rescue center in Majorca. Some of the dogs used to have the run of the place, a big place with lots of land and pens. The owner told us of how he re homed one of the dogs to a family in a big posh villa but he had to take him back cos the dog kept escaping and coming back to be with his friends. He also had trouble with the neighbours dog cos it kept sitting at the gate waiting for unsuspecting guests to let him in thinking he'd escaped :rofl:
