Title: Terminal care
Post by: Michelle (furbabystar) on February 13, 2007, 17:07:19 PM
Poor Wafer, she was found straying in Essex and brought to us in a sorry state! She, sadly, has a tumour in her stomach but at present she is eating well and talking away so she has a quality of life. It would be even better if she had a proper home for her twilight hours - could you offer her terminal care? I know it is a hard thing to do but it would make such a difference to her!
Email me if anyone could take her.

That is so sad and reminds me of Sidney. I could on the off chance email Karen who took Syndey and see if she were willing. Does Wafer get on with other cats? As Karen has 3 others.  Also i am not sure if Wafer could stand the travel, we are East Kent.

Let me know, I hate reading about these stories.  Is there nothing to be done?

Poor Wafer and she looks such a nice cat, I love black and whites. presumably someone dumped the poor girl when they found she was ill.

Aww, she is lovely - shame I am too far away. Fingers crossed for a nice home for her though.

Hi Michelle & Sharon,

I see Michelle is the other side of Kent. If Sharon can sort anything, I can taxi this poor baby. I wish I could take care of her but there is no way with the other 3 cats. I wish I could offer more.

Hello all
Thanks to everyone kinds offers to help, I contacted Foal today and found that that Wafer got PTS yesterday. Poor mite, another heartbreaking tale. Such a shame as I was working on one of our angel fosterers taking her on for her care. Not meant to be.

However, great news is that FOAL are able to help with our two FIV cats, much better chance of rehoming there and they have space to explore and roam around in rather then our small pen.  Don't want to give up on them, but I think we are doing the right thing.

Whilst very sad the good bit is that she found love and comfort towards the end of her life and that she was not wondering around aimlessly and perhaps her life ending in agony.

I know that her short time at Foal was filled with much love and care - prob more love than she has ever been shown before

Poor baby. It's all been said, as upsetting as it is for us, the cat comes 1st and if she was in pain, it was the kindest thing to do.

Poor baby - but she was one of the lucky ones who was taken to a rescue, and had some love and care, and also allowed to go peacefully and painlessly.
