Title: Suggestion for Shop?
Post by: Fire Fox on December 26, 2009, 22:37:57 PM
Hi Tan!

I wonder if you would consider stocking crinkle/ mylar balls in the Purrs shop? They seem to be quite difficult to find in the UK, PetPlanet have been out of stock for ages and just one seller on eBay. As the balls are selling for £3.50 for four delivered, I figure there must be some profit in there somewhere? And not too bulky for you to store. ;)

Lol  The Turbo tracks go like hot cakes on the shop and are in our top best sellers now  ;D

Thanks so much hun for the promotion of them and the Purrs shop :thanks:

The mylar balls will be on the shop in a couple of days  ;D I can't believe how expensive these are to buy in UK
Petplanet sells 4 for £3.05 plus £3.99 shipping - £1.76 each ball

They will be on purrs for £1.85 for a 3 set and Shipping £1.43 (as they are over 25mm wide so can't sadly fit into a large letter rate)

It's easy peasy to promote Purrs shop because you have the coolest toys ... as awarded the gold paw of approval by Noah ... and the service (communication/ packaging) is excellent.  I couldn't believe the cost of the mylar balls elsewhere either, that is if they are even in stock! Loving the the knitted balls too, I think these may need road laminate testing.

Well my order of mylar balls have now been distributed between four cats, and has a 100% success rate! Noah has 'Bent it like Beckham' all over my flat, Malcolm chased his around the coffee table legs and under my friend's sofa, Stan ran off with his in his mouth keeping it safe for some midnight action with his brother Charlie. Here is Malcolm on Noah's Catbook page

I have a little task for Tan and the shop...

Esco (dog) eats all the cats toys...so I need an indestructable cat toy. Its going to be a tricky one cos I struggle to get indestructable dog toys for Esco...he only has two :(

Tan, that is your mission if you choose to accept it lol!!

P.S. I know there is technically no such thing as an indestructable toy but something that lasts more than 5 minutes or one play :)

 :evillaugh: what a challenge  ;D

I do have a sorce of rougher tougher made catnip toys we could try??

I am at the mo gathering new stock for the new shop launch in Sept (end of) so i can get some tougher toys in for that hun.

Do ya think doggies would like the smell of Valerian or honeysuckle??  Valerian really stinks so might out em off??

I haven't got any honeysuckle and can't think of anywhere nearby that's got any so I could test Esco out. I know that's cats don't like really stinky flowers though so maybe the valerian stuff would put them off too??

I've tried to keep the cats toys upstairs but they do make their way down and inevitably end up in the Mouth of Esco! Or he sneaks upstairs to get them!! He really is a little (big) monkey.

Fortunately Soap uses Esco as a toy and he does keep her amused!

I will try the tough cat nip sacks...I wonder if they would have the same affect on Esco if he got hold of one lol!!

Ooooh Tan are you getting honeysuckle toys in again??? Maizie loved the honeysuckle squirrel, it's pretty much destroyed now!! Really hope you can get more!!  ;D

Hiya
Yeap sure am honeysuckle and new Valerian very stinky toys :)  :evillaugh:

I will be going through the stock that i have and putting some more on sale before the new shop launch.  For instance the smaller cozy cave beds are not so popular compared to the large ones and my lads agree!! so will be only stocking the larger ones (smaller ones will be reduced to clear ) and some new round cosy beds. etc

Is there such a thing as a chew toy for cats?

I'm thinking Memphis would like something like that. He's not into catnip type things but does like chewing on things .. none of his toys are really suitable for chewing. For the past two days now I've woken up to find one of Molly's dried tripe stick chews in the middle of my bedroom floor. Memphis is the culprit .. so just wondering if there is anything out there to keep him occupied and something that will be beneficial for teeth cleaning.

Yes, there is. I got one from our local Tesco when they had what they called a cat sales week. Didn't last very long though. Bob busted it straight away.  >:(

I bought some from PAH for a friend for her kitten, it was quite a while back now and not sure if for adults cats but mentioned for teething, may be Tan could source something similar?

Getting some great knitted catnip toys for xmas  ;D ;D

Awww, Mog would've loved them. :( We have a purple woolly mouse she loved.

I have some weird dental toys I think were from Wilkos. They have grooves so you can put small treats in to encourage cats to chew them.
