Morning,
Do any of you have Facebook accounts and have added Catbook as well, so your furry babes can have their own profile? Or am I the only one stupid and weird enough to get excited when Polly and Fergus get a new friend via the internet :Crazy:?!!! If so can our furbabes be friends :Luv:?
Right, got loads of new piccies on my camera, so will start getting them onto the computer, you've been warned! And it's sunny today, so lovely, we might try and let Fergus and Polly have their first supervised trip into the garden later this afternoon, again I'm sure photos will follow.

You have to sign up to Facebook (http://www.facebook.com).. Then once you're done trying to work out whats what (so confusing myspace is so much more simple :Crazy:) there's a little search box on the left search catbook, click and then click add application then you're set to go!!
Whatever it is it wont let me see what you have done >:( >:(

OK I've done their profiles but how do I get some furry friends for them? They have each other as a friend but I can't see anywhere to be friends with the links everyone else has posted. Also if they get a friend in their profile eg Charlie will they automatically appear in Charlies friend list or does Charlie have to ask them to be his friend too?

i think when you add a cat you click the add button on there page and then a request to be there friend goes to their account and they accept or decline it?

Hmmn, Riley and Charlie are now friends but it won't let Lukey have him as a friend - the button is not there anymore. Cindy doesn't have the button either but they have both just asked to be friends with Ezzy and that seemed to work :shify: :Crazy:

Lucas & Riley would like to apologise to anyone who asked to be friends with them that they hadn't got back to sooner, they have been very busy getting up to no good. They have now accepted all the gracious offers of friendship :)

Just noticed on Catbook you can now add a "meow alert" which alerts people to your cat being missing!
This would be quite useful if they did it for people living in the UK (currently only for america/Canada) >:(

Gill that link won't work hun, you need to go to each of their profiles and copy that address in the address bar. You should see the link will look similar to those others here. Once we find them we can request that Misa and Sasa be friends.

yes, I've been invited, but is smacks of big brother to me. all your personal details out there for any tom dick or harry to look at - not for me.

BC you only put as many details as you want, and only your friends (who you accept) can see them. I am not a fan of having my info out there, but this one I prefer to others. Also you can restrict what people see. I have since joining found some friends from highschool and my childhood friends on there, and again, they only see what I want them to.

Oh, I didn't know that. I assumed from all these horror stories of party crashing that it was out there in the public domain. Might be useful then as i have moved around so much there are people out there who have no idea where I am and may be looking for me... interesting concept....

I think that party thing was someone created a Group or an Event and then that is open to the world. But your own profile, your comings and goings are totally private to you and those you want to see it. Create a profile, don't add a pic yet or anything and then just browse the privacy settings etc. If you like you can add me as a friend and browse my profile so you can see what others can. I haven't joined a network because I believe if you do its a little more visible.
I'll PM you what to find if you like.

Aww, Ralphie, Jet & Cleo :hug: To make friends they have to invite other cats to be their friends. If you go to Lucas' profile for example you can click on his friends and invite them to be their friends too :)

Dont want to be a poop poop here but has anyone mentioned Facebook was on Watchdog last week? You have to be very carefull when using your personal details as people can befriend you and then steal your id via your date of birth etc :scared:
Would hate to think this happening to any of you peeps out there!!! ;)
