We have just received a bill from Vets Now for a cat we authorised to be re-stitched as the owner had no funds, she agreed that she would to pay us back weekly. Now job done she will not pay a penny. When this happens at our own vet they have to sign a document, but it is difficult with Vets Now. They kept the cat in for the rest of the night, re-stitched, bangaged, gave her an injection and some antibiotics. I nearly dropped ofF my chair when our Treasurer told me yesterday how much, it was almost £400.
Last night it was necessary for one of the Fosterers to take a cat to the vets, she rang Vets Now a few times and was immediately cut off when connected then on 3 occasions each time a voice answered to try later as they were busy. In the end she rang me in tears so I phoned Eric our own vet (he was at a party) and he left immediately and went to the surgery to meet Donna. I just wish our vets did not use Vets Now but they just cannot get the vets to work nights.
