My babies are gone! The couple loved them and ofcourse the mittens made a fuss of them and thoroughly sold themselves.....They have been packed off with food toys and blankets (even though the couple must have bought out a pet shop looking at all the stuff they'd got ready when I went there last night!)

I am happy they finally have a lovely new home of their own but boy am I going to miss their mews when I go into my bedroom

Can't wait to see the looks on my lots faces when they get to come to bed upstairs tonight, it's been sooooooo long and I'm excited for bedtime!

Thanks Des. In all the excitement I forgot but I'll be speaking to her again tomorrow.

the couple passed their homecheck, they are very nice. Just bought a house together and got engaged (so the 'what would happen to the cats if you split up was particularly funny!). And they come to take my mittens away tomorrow night........

I know I will be gutted (I've already warned them I will cry!) and I will miss them but they'll love their new home (it has loads of those fancy trendy twigs in vases for them to play with

) and it's what they need - they've been sheltered from the world in my bedroom for more than long enough.

And the best bit - my own babes can finally all come to bed with me again!! Hooray!!!

Well..... tonight I am going to do a homecheck for the two babies who are still with me! The bloke sounds nice, need to meet his partner and give them both a grilling but I got good vibes on the phone

A lady who does cat rescue locally put them on to me, she said she's had loads of calls for kittens lately, including one from North Wales who said they couldn't find any anywhere! So if it's ok with Dawn, Teresa and Des I'll take her your numbers tonight when I go to see her. I can't vouch for the quality of any callers but it might be worth a try.

So please keep fingers crossed for Pixie and Bruiser!

Hi all,

please keep fingers crossed......tentative query on Cat Chat about the kittens (altho poss only looking for one, I'd much prefer they went together..)

I really hope something comes up soon. They are breaking my heart. Of course they are growing (now approx 15 weeks) and really need a new home of their own. I've considered asking a local rescue centre to take them (one has offered), at least people will be able to see them and I feel like they'll be rehomed more quickly. I know they would be well looked after there before being rehomed but thinking about it just makes me cry. I really want to know where they go to (new home) so I know it's nice and I can keep in touch.

There are times when I wonder why we do this to ourselves, I know I'm not the only one who gets attached and hates saying goodbye, but it never gets easier and these have been living in my bedroom for so long I almost can't imagine them not sleeping round my head anymore!

Big day tomorrow.......Chairman Miaow becomes Figaro and is going to his new home in the evening

My last night of being pawed and bitten and snuggled by 3 kittens......had al intentions of making notices for the vets for the other two but this computer hasn't got word on it....oh well....just have to put up with other two for a bit longer! I am falling desperately for Bruiser, he's a right character but very much a mummies boy lately, little monkey.

Thanks Des. I need to ring local CP and have a chat to some others. Vets will let me put a poster up, but I've not got round to doing one yet (not that I'm putting it off or anything!

I've thought the same Michelle.....if mine weren't FIV and I was looking for another I would be tempted to rehome a pair and keep the last one!

Will definitely try this, see if they can send someone on (hopefully not the unsuitable ones they won't rehome to, in which case they wouldn't get one of these babies either!

Cheers all. They are little darlings, thundering around the bedroom and curling up under the covers at the back of my neck during the night (means I can't move though, cos then they think it's playtime and start all over again!)

Will keep you posted anyway, I'm willing to travel if needed for the right homes. Keep fingers crossed as there might be someone interested in one.....

Some rescues will refer people if they have nothing suitable so would be worth phoning your locals and see if they can help.

I hate that too when i went to get my 2 kittens from a rescue 2 weeks ago there was 3 there the mum + the dad soon as a saw them i thought i cant take just 1 or 2 as that will leave one so ill have to leave them and get a different cat but there was a lady there looking at them and she said if i took 2 of them she would take the other one

. So me being a big softie i took them both even though i was only ment to be getting kitty one play mate

Hi folks, asking for help and advice again!

Three small kittens came into my car almost 4 weeks ago. They will now be about 7 weeks, luckily seem to be healthy and are weaned (excpet for me being soft and still giving them a bottle at night!)

Not good at photos, so none to post but I will try and get some to a kind soul who might post them for me.

I need to start finding homes for them (2 boys and a girl, girl black and white, boys black/white and tabby/white). I'm dreading it. I've not fostered or rehomed kittens for a few years and am worrying about getting it right (or being too strict and never rehoming them, which of course isn't an option!)

I'm near Wigan, if anyone knows any nice people looking for a kitten or two......although I know everyone has kittens to rehome at the minute!

I'm not affiliated to any rescue at the minute, so I've no paperwork which is worrying me (unless I use paperwork from my old charity in the North East) and of course homes will be vetted. Kittens will need to be vacc by new owners and of course neutered when old enough. I'm just having a real wobble about getting this right.

Any advice/help/kick up the bum gratefully received!
