Think you need to leave some food out for her and sit watching from a window with the door open .

It sounds like she really wants to come in but is a bit scared

No she isnt back yet little madam is giving me the run around, she comes to the gate then when i go out legs it down the road into a garden and vanishes :sneaky:,i put her quilt and some food in the shed last night and then tied some string onto the handle and sat down round the corner, the intention being ,Muppet would smell the food and go into to eat ,i would then pull door shut thus trapping her inside ;)DIid she arrive, did she not,i sat there for 45mns,absolutely frozen,i finally gave up and went to get warm,as soon as i went in she appeared, i tried to creep back out but she spotted me and legged it again :evillaugh:i then spent another 20mns crawling under cars with a torch trying to catch her, people must think im  I WILL NOT GIVE IN ;)

she's clearly having the time of her life - you better start praying for rain, I think

You need to just leave a door open with the food inside and leave her to decide she wants to come in........sounds like she was an indoor cat and does not like it!

Sasa when she ran away cos I shut the cat flap eventually decided to come in and sleep on her sofa and then go again, but the next day she was still there when I got up and everything is OK as long as she has access outside and I dont try and stop her coming and going  ;D

Dont need to pray for it, evidently tomorrow is going to be gale force winds with heavy rain, just hope she will be okay :scared: im at work until 7pm tomorrow night so i will leave some food and biscuits in the shed for her and hope she has enough sense to come in out of the rain                                                                                     Gill its getting her to come in thats the problem,as far as im concerned she can have as much access as she wants to outdoors, evidently her owner isnt bothered about having her back so it looks like its all down to me,i cant really do anything till the weekend when im off, then the door will be open all day

You just have to make yourself scarce and let her do it in her own time....then stay scarce until she gets brave enough to start exploring then you can shut the door until she is settled.

Loads of good luck
Title: Re: MISSING -MUPPET, KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD UPDATE SHES BACK
Post by: bonnielass on May 12, 2009, 18:34:41 PM
Well ive finally got her ;D i tried every trick in the book but she was having none of it :evillaugh: i think she knew what i was thinking before i thought it, so i resorted to the cat trap last night ;) 3 times she came , but would she go in :sneaky: no way at 11pm i finally gave up for the night and went out to move it as i didnt want anyone getting caught over night, just as i was going to go out she appeared and walked straight in and sat down waiting :evillaugh: i could have strangled her, she spent the night alternating between eating and headbutting me on the side of my pillow, so not a lot of sleep was had :tired: but she safe now, ,tried to contact her owner (reluctantly ) but her phone is switched off, just like last time when she forgot to collect muppet and spooks, so obviously she is not bothered about her as she hasnt in 9 days once rung me to see if i have seen her :censored:

Great that you've got little Muppet safe and sound.  I know what I would do with her now, but I wouldn't dream of suggesting it here  ;)

I have a feeling Muppet knows who her real meowmy is - she wouldn't play silly bu**ers like that with a stand-in now, would she :evillaugh:
