Can I just ask a question? I seem to keep hearing comments on here lately about certain conversations 'not being cat-related topics'. Does this mean we are restricted to ONLY talking about issues to do with cats? I like the fact that we have conversations on here about different things, its nice. Afterall, this is a 'general' section of the message board!!
I just wondered if there was an actual rule on here dictating what we should talk about :scared:
Surely if people dont like the conversations, they dont have to read them and can stick to the cat-related ones? I would've thought it was very obvious what the topics were about from the thread titles.

I agree with you Em - I know this is primarily a cat forum but i see us more as 1 big group of friends that chat about cats as well as about other stuff too. As long as most of the topics are about cats, what harm are a handful of threads about different topics??

Ive just been looking at your girls on the other thead and they are lovely, I love the "felix" looking cats, I have 1 myself, dont know about talking about other topics. Am needing help to resize the pics of my cats so i can post them but having no luck, im not very tecnical with the computer u c, any help out there???? :Crazy:

I like the fact that threads can be cat related or just completely random - it gives more of a community feel.
Having said that, I think anyone that posts about, or even watches, X Factor should be banned :rofl: :rofl:

Yes no probs with me re other topics as long as it's under the General section. I can always make a separate section for it under the cat section. would that be better?

well its the puddy cats that brought us all here int it, and now lots of us are just mates - well i say just mates but you know what i mean. i like it lots how it is!!!! ;D

OK cool, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing something I shouldnt be. Maybe a separate section would be a good idea, that way people who just want to read about cat-related issues can do so, and those of us who fancy a natter can also do so!

i think a separate section maybe a good thing, but i dont think you can stop threads going off subject its just a natural progression in "conversations" but yes for the threads started totally un cat related a separate section may not be a bad idea for those who dislike unrelated threads i guess.

I like Tan's idea of a separate section for general chat (e.g. non cat). I joined primarily to get/give advice on cats, but like the community info. sharing that goes on which is non cat related too. Would be good to spearate them out, so it is easy to head to which ever section you are more interested in at a specific point in time.

Thats cause they're conversations, which by default will always meander into different topics. Goodness me, what boring conversations we'd have if we all stuck to talking about one topic!!

Ive worked it out now my computer was sending them to my junk mail thats y you didnt get them all. Ive sent the 4 back to you could you sort them 4 me? im sorry for being a thicko thanks 4 your help B & B's dad. Could you also send them to my hotmail add, as i have an ntl add aswell u c but dont use it. ta
