Title: Hair falling out
Post by: Littlebobo on November 21, 2006, 20:59:19 PM
Hi All,

Not sure if this is just me but i have noticed that Yumi's fur seems to be falling out i keep finding it all over the house but when i brush her there is hardly any ?

Do you think it is just her shedding her coat ready for winter?

Hi

I would like to know poss causes for this too.  Freddie is mainly white and our carpet dark red so his fur is very noticeable.  He's been with us about 8 weeks now and have noticed tufts of white fur over last couple of weeks only (virtually nothing before that) but nothing when I brush/comb him. I assumed he is kicking it off when scratching but no sign of fleas. Perhaps it's central heating?

I find Sasas and birmans everywhere all the time. I cant touch Sasa so she ie responsible for her own grooming and does so well, but cos she has so much fur I reckon it takes all year to do it.

The birmans, especially Ducha just seem to moult a lot

I think it is very likely to the central heating. Cats find it hard to regulate their temperature like we do.
If you're cats are laying around a lot on their backs with their feet stuck out like mine then they are probably too hot lol
