OMG your furbabes are gorgeous!  I love Devons ... they are such little characters.  My haridresser has 2 and the stories she tells me have me in stitches.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

And Buggle... That's the lot of them. Pud and Buggle are no longer with us but are very much loved and remembered! Buggle was a litter butter, he used to cry until he was picked up by me and wanted to be carried around with me constantly! So sweet though :)

This is Pud... Hubby has been saying that Flea looks like Pud mk2! He does, and strangely has the same silky coat. Completely different personalities though obviously!

I will get some more pictures on soon  :) They seem to be getting on well (ish) newbie or Flea as he is now known (hubbys choice of name but it has somehow stuck haha!) seems to understand that he is not the boss, occassionally he is silly enough to try and jump on migs and play but she will hiss and bat him due to being suprised. If he is approaching her calmly he tends to lie down really close to her purring and put his ears down, she then turns and cleans him. So to me that shows that they know their roles and the hierarchy!

Flea I have to admit is the friendliest bordering on infuriating kitten I have ever encountered haha! It takes him so long to settle! He will nuzzle into your elbows, then up round your neck and then back to the elbows and anywhere else he can find to nuzzle, roll over and have a wriggle and then start all over again! All the while purring louder than I have ever heard any cat purr before :) He is so sweet and such a cuddly kitten though. He is off to be neutered on Monday before his testosterone truly kicks in and spraying starts!

I will get new pictures on shortly... like I say... they know the hierarchy yet when it comes to sleepy time they are more than happy to sleep side by side! Migs is all hiss and no action, she doesn't really mind that much but is just a bit moody. She is with us too, she likes a lot of fuss but when shes had enough her tail starts flicking and if you ignore that there is a teeth on hand situation.... not a bite at all, she literally opens her mouth and puts her teeth on you without any pressure! We have learnt that everything is on her terms but sometimes guests ignore her flicking tail!

As my cat is called Effie, you could call him Simon

How about Tink, I think Migs and Tink as names go well together!! How is his sister doing did she get a home?

Poor little boy doesn't have a name! He is registered at the vets as Tinkerbell as that is what hubby spent last night calling him (due to bell on his collar)

Just can't find a name that fits, with our cats the first name never seems to stay either...

Thank you :)

Migs has a new friend. I rescued him last night before he was dumped at the rspca. I am now trying to find a home for his sister as I'm not allowed another! Less than 24 hours in both Migs and newbie (18weeks old) are fast asleep on the same sofa. She has hissed at him once or twice but he's very chilled and just takes it in his stride.

Very pleased with the progress so far and think we will have 100% harmony soon.

Just thought I'd introduce my beautiful Migs
« Reply #1 on: August 18, 2010, 14:15:28 PM »
Ok - so the name is not so beautiful.

She is a 3 year old devon rex varient and I originally named her Mitzie... My friends two year old couldn't say it and renamed her Miggits which kind of stuck... Our cats are generally given a 'normal' name but it never lasts.

We started with a rescued balinese cross (Pud) (I guessed) he was black and white and looked just like a fox, really gorgeous. Lost him to the road and I havent let a cat out since.

We then acquired Buggle a little bengal boy, he started off named Chester but due to being such a little bu@@@r he ended up Buggle, he had to be put down at 7months due to FIP :(

Then we got Migs from a breeder that needed forever homes for the cats nobody had bought from her, Migs was 7 months old and is the biggest tart I have ever seen. She is a real madam and will show anybody her belly for a bit of fuss. She loves to play fetch and is too bright for her own good, she stole a lace out of a shoe recently and I took it away from her to hide in a drawer. She now sits above that drawer everytime I let her into the room and tries to open it. Smart cookie! She's gorgeous, absolutely always has to be on my or hubbys knee haha!!!

Only got the one pic of her so far to put on here as I can't seem to make many of them small enough!
