yay - hope you join the list of purrs rescues for funding support - will be nice to have an active rescue member again!!!
Did I mention I can feel the babies moving? :shy:
Allison, I asked that exact question but No, they weren't aware of Tom Cox (they are now!) ;)I'm glad you've educated them about Tom Cox. His new book is out very shortly ;D Absolutely love The Bear and your Bear definitely has that same soulful look going on :Luv2: :Luv2:
Mother cat is looking perplexed..................I am sure I didnt have any that colour :shify:
How are babies     , how is mom  and how are you and OH Sheila   ?
Do so very much hope all is well ............
Thank the Gods for your steady hand, and Liz's extensive knowledge.
The plan, therefore is thus... this 3 week relief should, just, see us clear of the infection .................. ...........Theresa and wee Jarvis stay here until he's weaned at which time Theresa can be spayed and go to her forever home. Jarvis can be further socialised with Whiskey's babies and paired off with them for re-homing.
GI Joe! Back home with his feeder Laura. All cats survived the weekend. :crossed:
... I worry all night that mum might continue her attacks but by morning Mum has settled and is feeding the babies herself once more. :phew:
I also have a lead for a new fosterer in my sights ;D I'm hoping to make a little time to go see him (yes, you read that right! :) ) tomorrow. :crossed: Maybe he will like Emily and be able to convince her babies to be nice too.
Suddenly the only obstacle is hubby's long face "i thought you said no more kittens....."
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Sheila, you are an absolute treasure and I'm proud to know you. The cats who come under the auspices of Waltham Forest CP don't know how lucky they are to have such a caring, dedicated, enthusiastic and capable champion. I wish every success to you and your team. It won't all be plain sailing and there'll be lots of heartaches along the way but you already know that don't you, so I'm sure you'll go from strength to strength.

Sorry Ladies will change the settings for you all the see Lucy Lu video
I think we can safely say that this cat is going no-where.
Merlin is different, he has actually been calling him and giving him ear rubs! :wow:
Oh Buddy. Buddy, Buddy, Buddy.
Rosella, did you mean to say 'What a church'? It's a phrase I am not familiar with  Kitty is adorable, however you phrase it! :Luv2:
Hello Fur Gang :Luv:

Great news. ;D. Keep fighting little Fred, you can do it.
Do any of the 'old timers' on Purrs think of Teresa when they read this thread. I know I do. Sheila you are an absolute star and the things you have achieved in such a short space of time are a real credit to you and your team.
Hello Fur Gang :Luv:
How about some Chocolate in your life? :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
:evillaugh: This is just such a lovely thread today. :) :evillaugh:
 just brought up the contents of Pets at home so it seems! Food shopping day for the cats (and for us, although thats not as fun) and extra toys kept appearing in my basket! :sneaky: :Luv2:
OK, so OH has said he must be called Mr B (as in Bruce Wayne) as in Batman :Luv2: are we too excited? Are we? Are we? :naughty:

When are you getting him?
Suitable??? Please........!! :innocent: :evillaugh:
Bless you Sheila, that G+T is well deserved!
I'm so glad that things are going well for your charges.
Hope you don't have to rush out and buy a crate - isn't it a pity you don't have an Amazon wish list? :shify:
I had a magnum too. ;)
Just recovering from seizure after watching Tad's video of Chocolate or should I say Mr B? Jen, he is one incredibly beautiful lad. Did you see? OMG drool or what!!!
Well done Sheila!!! You and your group make such an enormous difference to so many lives :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
An Insight to our Saturday mornings Trapping
My view :censored:
Sorry that Merlin is a bit out of focus, it's a bit difficult to take a photo and fuss at the same time. He loves his new Meouwmy and not Meouwmy and follows us around all the time. I don't have a very big lap so he decided yesterday that he would lie with his bum on the paper I was trying to read and half on me
Why do cats always lie on the paper when you are trying to read it :P :evillaugh:
Judecat
Loving the photo :Luv: especially as I can't see your Hissies :evillaugh:  :censored:
Hans starts eating properly. He's such a dink at only 860g but only 12 weeks old he's a picky little beggar who only really wants chikkun (for which he growls like a Tiger).
Anyone interested in snuggly stripers? Transport to Frozen Northern Wastelands not an issue.
Mary went back out, she's wearing a tracker that is working
Great news about Mary!
Would love to hear about Hero.
*pulls up chair and puts on best 'I'm listening' face*
Same as that Sheila. An' comfy chair..........well floor in my case
Hopefully, I am sort of doing something workable with Emo and Merlin, I feed her separately on the stairs so he doesn't see her, when she wants to go out or back in, he either gets shut in the living room, dining room area or I carry her out/in past him. He will lie on the bedroom floor while she is on our bed with the kittens and us as well, getting a bit crowded on our bed now. OH keeps talking about getting a new bed anyway, my mattress is too firm for him so I am sort of thinking a king size next time, had one before although really too big for our room, but it might, repeat MIGHT stop us being contortionists in our sleep as the kids get comfortable. ;), still both being double dosed with Zylkene and had their drops between their ears, he does seem a bit more respectful so we will see.
I have a penchant for gingers of course..... :evillaugh:
Poor little babies! :(
RIP Mulligan - run hard at the bridge, no poorly feet to hurt you.
Gorgeous babies :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
Sheila, I'm so sorry that Hero didn't make it, but thanks be to you that you gave him kindness and stayed with him at the very end. You are an absolute star, lady.
Play hard at the bridge, Hero, baby.
Sending tons of love for Calypso, and hoping this little lady can be sorted out.
That's Nai'a, he is rather delish... Hawaiian for "Dolphin"
Sending every possible strongest good wishes for Lillibet and Matilda. Am loving the "bad" behaviour of nice man and that Matilda is assured of a safe permanent home :Luv2: Hope they get some shared quality time together before they have to part again.
Sending lots of special Purrs vibes for these four and big hugs for you and your team Sheila.
Aaw! Bless! They are both gawjuss. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
Thank you every one for my 60th birthday wishes
Thank you every one for my 60th birthday wishes
SHE IS SO SWEET AND THE MONSTER WHO DID THIS SHOULD BE SHOVED IN A BIN!
Not The Furry Godmother Tad? ;)
I have no idea why I thought Mark was called Dave, but Bless him, he kept answering to it.
SHE IS STUNNING ;D ;D
I AM GOING TO PUT UP THE LIST OF NAMES WE BOUGHT IN THE AUCTION AND MAYBE SOME COULD BE USED FOR NEW INCOMING CATS AND KITTENS ??

Bombalurina, Jellylorum
LUNA, PRIMROSE
Effie Daisy-Mae Florrie
Claude Maurice Huntly
CHICKEE, CHUCKLES, SERENDIPITY
LORENZO, LUCY GOOSE
THERE YOU ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
We home check everyone who expresses an interest in adopting from us Gill, regardless of the time of year or whether we have cats available. Because all our cats are "special" ie rescues for whatever reason (we don't rehome for private individuals at our Branch) they need a particularly empathetic home, and it's this we look for, and put owners on an "approved" waiting list until their cat arrives.
The homecheck I'm doing today is for a lovely young couple who have been looking for a kitten for some time and have already agreed what they would like, started planning their lives around pet ownership etc, so hubby has decided this is the perfect time to bring a cat in as they're both off for two weeks after Christmas. Home owners, garden, no kids, perfect. As Rosella correctly says, it can be a very good opportunity to introduce a new family member, so long as they appreciate the associated risks.
It will be a surprise for his wife, a Christmas surprise. His home is already decked for Christmas so I get to check every aspect of their seasonal decor, and provide sensible advice, he gets to meet DeeJae and hopefully form an attachment. He and Mrs Perfect will come here to collect DeeJae on Boxing Day and I'll complete my checks on them at that point.
However, in true annoying kitten style, Deejae has - this morning - produced a limp. Not a bad one, probably just a tumble, but an imperfection she didn't need to be exhibiting to her new Daddy today!
Thank you Rosella, shes a sweet little furball, soft as candyfloss too. Bless. Her big day tomorrow, her new Dad already adores her, she meets her new Mum tomorrow, if the feeling is mutual she's off to her new life of luxury :)
:) The fireguard is a massive help and bought for exactly the reason you describe, but for the life of me i cannot find the supplier details :-: OH remembers it was a steal at £80 from ebay but that's probably 10 years ago and i'm stunned at the prices these go for now! I'll be more careful with it in future!
Good home check today for our little gingernut. Off to his new home tomorrow. :crossed: for him, he's going in with three toy dogs and their owner who's lovely, realistic, patient and an ex-vet nurse. :briggin:
Further good news, young Snowball has had a lightbulb moment and realised I'm the food lady. Suddenly he's my best friend and wants in, out of the pen. :)
Picking up Frankie tomorrow, poor lad is a victim of eviction, he's only two and will miss his little boy badly.
If I had no shame I'd be heading for the civilisation of the West Country, or possibly the West Midlands and pushing him into the arms of a good woman. I have shame. But still open to suggestion. :shify:
Hurrah! Well done Sheila
Beautiful Electra. I do hope she has no Greek proclivity for revenge. ;)Well she isn't litter trained as I just found to my horror.

Tears in my eyes at your story
All cats are beauties, even the battered and disabled ones. :Luv:
Aah. Just reread your post. All girls then.
I really don't know whether to come down and rugby tackle ya for mom and a baby coz we really had in mind at least one lad who in time would be a play pal for bouncy Bob abx not sure teeny gals will do the trick.
Must try an be sensible.....
Remember the Father Ted episode when they were on holiday in the caravan and Ted was explaining about the different cow sizes? Well the water bowl is closer to the camera lol :evillaugh:
I've got tons of pics of them but none really give a proper impression of size. Elsa is just a tad ("Tad" get it? ;) ) bigger than her bro. Her bro is however like a duracell rabbit who doesn't stops until he drops.
They're utterly stunning and very very friendly :blow kiss: :blow kiss:
That swollen belly? Impacted uterus. She's been given a drug to induce contractions but if that doesn't work were in a hand rear situation for the kittens as mum will need to be spayed asap. :scared:
Oh my Gods, Rosella. That has me in bits. How apt and fitting, as you say. :'( :'(
I hope all goes well for Tad's send off tomorrow Sheila.
I know it will be the saddest of days for all who knew and loved her but am sure everyone will do their best to celebrate the love and compassion that she packed into her lifetime
I can see on FB that the team have their hands full with 29 kittens!!!! Don't know how you cope Mrs
(I know, I know - am meant to be working, but my mind is wandering about on its own again..... :shify:)
Oh Sheila - that's fantastic news for you to come back to - am so very pleased for you and OH - and the Tuftyclub too ;D ;D
(Ps - how is young Nate?)
Sheila, thanks for the update. I am so glad that you are finally in your lovely new home :) No, I never doubted that Ivanka would be yours, she had clearly stolen your heart.
I don't see any photo though
lots of good vibes for all the kitties and hope the trip to wales goes well
I fostered a cat once who had had an eye injury so had a funny eye and one of the volunteers was quite off about him, saying he was ugly and wouldn't find a home - I thought it made him look endearing! Mind you, she also told me I was wrong for having Pebbles' leg amputated, saying I should have PTS instead! Needless to say we didn't speak much after that.
[size=14pt
Sheila, I know things are way too hectic for you these days (but in a satisfyingly good way, compared to the old 9 to 5).
Nontheless, I hope each day is proving to be deeply rewarding, and that the house is becoming "home" in every way possible.  Thinking of you and all the WFC crew.
