I got the I.P thing too but I think it might be something to do with my work's machine. I'll try when I get home. I remember doing something similar a couple of years back and by changing the cookie settings it enabled me to vote loads. Not sure if that'll work though I'm no 'puter buff

In this case I'd have thought it better not to have a static IP, it depends on how often your DHCP lease renews. You can usually force this by resetting your cable modem. sometimes even on a dynamic IP it can be assigned for a long time and as Gill says IP addresses get re-assigned and if that IP has been used to vote then that's the one that gets recorded although I think this unlikely. Running through a broadband router at home I use DHCP to the ISP and disable the DHCP server in the router and use static non-internet addressable IPs on the local network PCs along with MAC address filtering rules in the router, IMO much more secure and easier to predictably manage with the Firewall.
