I am so sorry to hear this, she was lucky enough to have come into your care and be able to have love, warmth and kindness, and not to die alone on the streets. RIP little one.

 :'(  :'(
I was just catching up on this thread, such a sad tale for this little treasure.
She is such a beautiful one too, (not that there are any ugly babies out there)
Misty must have gone through some very confusing times, bless her.  But as everyone else has said, at least she knew the love and care she desearved before she passed.  This is where i am a strong believer in (dont know exactly what it would be called!) Misty was given to your care for a reason, there was a reason her foster father took her on, there was a reason for all of this, she touch your lives for a reason.   Maybe someone up there wanted this little kind baby to know love, even if misty couldnt hear or see it.

No more pain darling, no more confusion  RIP Baby Girl x  :'(

Ahhh bless her ... that's so sad.

I'm pleased she was able to experience, love, warmth and kindness while she was with her Foster Daddy - things that seemed to be lacking in her previous home!

RiP little darling. xxx

So sad.

Poor little Misty died this morning  :( she was in a foster home where she was being closely momitored owing to her blindness and was about to undergo tests for possible brain damage when she started fitting, she was rushed to the vets where she was diagnosed as having epilepsy, unfortunately she died  soon after  ,her frail little body just couldnt cope with anything else

awww Misty is :Luv2:

I'd maybe give her some time to adjust and see how she is in a week or two.  If her ears were as bad then there is every chance that her sinus' have been affected.  Bearing this in mind would it be possible a virus that affected her eys could have caused blindness as a kitten????

you just never know with cases like these and often have to play blind.   Hopefully with some time, TLC and rest she will come round and you will be better able to judge her behaviour / disabilities.

After Edward went blind, I noticed that he could smell well enough to know there was food around somewhere, but that it wasn't always quite precise enough for him to be able to find it, and sometimes I'd have to wave it under his nose.

She sounds similar to Jeannie, he does yowl quite a bit even when there is no reason too, and I do have to help him find his food at times, so maybe not all blind cats have heightened senses!! Jeannie is blind and deaf. I think it is quite early days, and you might see some improvement soon.

aww poor girl, I'm not too sure tbh it could be her sense of smell Schui's is poor as he suffers with his sinuses and can go off his food sometimes (he had a steroid injection last time which helped) however, he was losing weight and you say her weight is fine.

I think it's more likely that she just needs time to settle down she probably is not used to all the love and attention bless her - you say she is quite timid and seems to love the security of her heat pad I bet she is a little unsure of her surroundings yet :Luv:

Need some advice on this little lady, she is being observed closely owing to her blindness, but we have noticed several things, she doesnt eat a lot altho she is not thin,if we put her on a chair in the conservatory she jumps down okay but she wanders round making little moaning sounds and sometimes seems a little muddled, she only seems to be happy when back in her pen on the heat pad. Both vets she has seen say theres nothing wrong with her eyes so cant understand the blindness.I f we put a bowl of food in front of her she doesnt seem to know its there, possibly no sense of smell, do you think she could have suffered some sort of brain trauma? apart from this she is fine..

She is as sweet as she looks :Luv2: when she comes into the conservatory she walks so far then holds her right paw up into the air, walks a bit more then returns to her heated bed, shes also decided that she only like either salmon or chicken, flavour food shes quite a fussy little madam but so lovely :Luv:                                                She will be with us for a while yet, we want to  get her neutered and vacs and make sure she is 100% and then we will be looking for a very special  indoor home for her
