Title: Easter eggstravaganza! (bit late)
Post by: souffle on April 06, 2015, 20:07:26 PM
Sorry I couldn't do a thread this year as mum was taken in to hospital with heart problems and I had to go to Scotland. She has Alzheimer's too and sadly had to move to a care home this week too - very sad but she is starting to settle in now and we feel glad she is cared for 24hrs a day.
Anyway best I can do to cheer you all up as lots of sadness around just now

Aw Souffle - just seen these.  Thank you sooooo much - especially given everything you have on your plate just now.  I also hope your Mum's move is a good one, where she'll get constant care.

Those piccies just make me grin from ear to ear.    :wow:

Lynne sorry to hear about your problems with your mum not being well.
Super cute photos. That has to be a Faberge egg!
Julie.

Thanks everyone!
Julie I bought the egg in TK Max when my daughter was just little. She wanted that egg much more than a chocolate one and it has been one of my best buys ever. It makes a lovely Easter prop for the hamsters ;) Daughter is 21 in a few weeks and she still loves the egg too!
Mum is settling in quite well. She has her up and down times but that is to be expected. It's a hard thing to move when you don't have your mind, are 82 and you have lived in the same home since you were married fifty odd years ago.
We can only do our best to make sure mum is safe and cared for but it doesn't stop you feeling very guilty  :shy:
We will be visiting again in a couple of weeks and sorting out the house too. She has plenty visitors and I can phone so I'm hoping she will be content.
I have found a lovely lady catsitter who comes in to see to C&M so they don't have to go to pwizon now  ;) They are much happier at home as they didn't really like the car trips and the kennel and it is also less costly!

Glad to hear your mum is settling in. The elderly do find change difficult.
Bet C&M are glad prison is off the cards now.
Just so want that egg! But I do have a very nice crystal one.
Julie.

Oh yes that is a very pretty egg indeed  :Luv2: C&M might knock it over when they are charging around playing chasey though if it were here!

Thierry smashed to smithereens this lovely blue obsidian wand. Also two malachite tiny cats, and put some smash marks into a lovely fluorite egg.  I thought they were safe in a box until he threw it on the floor. Don't you just love cats.
Julie.

Oh Julie.  What a shame.  I keep my crystals boxed up and in the cupboards now too.  Ask me why.....  ;)  I have one amethyst geode which is on a high up shelf no-one's yet tried to access, but I have lost some previously to curiousity.  The wand is such a beautiful blue.

I love your sphere though - those rainbow inclusions are so fascinating, aren't they?   :)  I feel like a kid trying to seek them out.
