Cleo is loads better almost fully recovered thank you but you wouldn't believe it Ralph has started sneezing and showing the same symptoms as Cleo last night.  So it's a trip for him to the vet now.

Well i had to take Cleo to the vets this morning as she seemed to be struggling with her breathing, different vet today who said she's got an infection, all her glands are up and she's got a really sore throat.  She's on a course of anti-biotics and has to go back on Monday if she doesn't make any progress over the weekend.

The poor little thing is really raspy, runny eyes, sneezing, really looking awful.  She's just peed on my sofa which i am not happy with but she's obviously not got the energy to get up to use her litter tray which is in the same room.   :(

Hi she's still no better, can't get her into the vets until tomorrow night though.  I have noticed today that she had a rather large tick close to her ear, took her to my mums as i'm a wimp and she's removed it!!!!

The vet thought Cleo was suffering from an allergy, i'm wondering if it could be down to the tick as i believe some cats can be allergic to them, now it's gone let's hope she picks up.  The vet didn't look at her ears so she wouldn't have noticed it.  Hope that is what's caused it!!

She's sneezing, coughing, hardly eating - not even her fresh chicken!!

Thanks, took her to the vets this evening, her temperature was normal but she felt hot and clammy and generally looked very sorry for herself.  Vet said she'd got a very sore throat possibly from the coughing and sneezing but thinks she's got an allergy to something.  She's had an anti-inflammatory and anti-biotic jab and is on anti-histamines for 3 days.  She told me a cat can have piriton just like us but obviously smaller dose - i didn't realise that!!

Anyway she's asleep at the moment, she's back at the vets in 3 days for a check up

In Hamish's case He didn't go off his Food, but His sneezing was firing Snot everywhere,
even over Mistys face When Hamish was cleaning Him one day, I still remember the look of disgust on Mistys face

But seriously if she is having discharge from nose or is constantly sneezing, I Would definately take
Cleo to the vet to get checked out..........

If shes been off colour for a couple of weeks it would be good to get her checked over.
A vaccinated cat can still get flu as they dont provide 100% protection.

Not sure to be honest, I think a trip to the vet may be in order though if she's seemed off colour for a while.

Best to be on the safe side.

Am i just being paranoid or do you think i should take Cleo to the vet?  I know Mark posted earlier about a cat sneezing a lot but Cleo's symptoms are different, she is sneezing quite a bit but doesn't seem to have gone off her food.  She was sick last week so i wonder if it's all connected as she's not been her usual self for a couple of weeks now, this weekend she spent most of the time asleep.  She has been vacinated against flu but do you think this sounds like cat flu?
