Still got Mr Tibbs, Lenny and Sasha looking for their forever home.
Tibbs is approximately 10 years old, Lenny approx 7 years old and Sasha just a baby at nearly 1 years old. All neutered, vaccinated and microchipped - with me in NW Kent on behalf of Anim-Mates.

I love the black ones and would willing love another but Hubby isn't sure and I don't think Jess would welcome another one :innocent:
-
They are beautiful and I'd be tempted myself, but Blip has to be an only cat.
I gather that black cats - and black-and-white cats - are usually more difficult to rehome. Goodness knows why colour should matter - for me, neediness should be the main criterion.
Good luck Mr Tibbs, Lenny and Sasha.
-
It's weird I know, personally I love black cats and have two of my own! I had a lady ring me yesterday looking for a cat, but when I said they were black she said that "she wasn't looking to rehome a black cat"????
-
I keep looking at them and they are so beautiful who couldn't resisit a black beauty.

Ummm...... :-: Blimey, brave statement so soon after the BB debacle! :) Sasha is GORGEOUS!
-
I know - she could've started an international furore!
Got someone coming to see Sasha on Wednesday evening, so fingers crossed!
-
Yes seems very racist to me. Maybe they are going off the old age stigma that black cats are unlucky?
I love all cats and have 1 black, 2 black n white and 1 gray. I love them all the same. Their colour does not represent their personality!
But then again at first I was put off getting a non black as I had a stupid thought that they might not fit in. Don't know why that was to tell the truth. Now I have realized they are all the same, a cat is a cat!
Hope the 3 black beauties get a good forever home soon Denise, sending my love to all of them. x
-
Thanks for that! I'd never had a black cat before I got Twinkle (in fact he's black and white) but he's got such a great personality and Meg, who's all black is lovely too. Missy is a dilute tortie - and is a greedy so and so!

Fingers crossed for Sasha, I do hope you can find them all good homes. I adore pure blacks personally and cant understand why people wouldn't want one.
-
We must be odd in that line we have Six black wonders - 4 domestic and 2 feral, 10 black and whites - 4 domestic and 6 feral, 8 tabbies andchuck in the greys, grey and whites, 3 naughty torties, 2 gingers, 2 ginger and whites and a seal point ragdoll we love them all.
Colour isn't the clincher some just tug at your hearts and before you know you become their devoted slaves that includes our 20 ferals who have all adapted to being in a home environment they like heating, toys, good food, laser pens and the dogs only issue sometimes when they need to go to the vet is the humans!!!!! :sneaky:
-
I would love to take one of the babies home!
It's a pain living in Glasgow sometimes seeing all of those poor kittys down there :(
My little boy Tom is a black kitty, he's the sweetest little angel ever, cuddling into me just now <3

Well my prayers must've been answered as the lovely Mr Tibbs and Sasha have both been reserved, pending homechecks.
Only the Lovely Lenny to find a home for - and it turns out he is nearer 3 - 4 years rather than 7 years !!

Fingers crossed Lenny finds his new family soon.
I can't understand why people don't want black cats as I think they are gorgeous :Luv:
-
Me neither, out of the 6 cats we've had 4 have been black and prob even a fav colour of cat
-
I would have Lenny in a flash if I could, he'd go lovely with my beautiful Ebony ;) , just a point about what people think about blacks and b/ws, I have one of each and a ginger and OHs mother was babysitting the other night while I was working and when I came home, she said, Why did you pick those two when they look so dull compared to Ozzy! (ginger lardboy). I was not happy, told her I loved all my babes and I wouldnt have cared what colour they were, I just knew they were the ones for me, she said well I would never have a black cat as they are unlucky!!! Here was my reply , you silly old :censored: I dont care what you :censored: think about my cats, now :censored: off home before I wring your :censored: neck.
Well actually thats what I said in my head, what I actually said was , well we cant all have your bad taste now can we

Black cats are stunning and black and whites ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, My Misa is not boring, he has so many expressions he can make with his face and noooooooooo cat is boring >:(
-
Aww, that is wonderful news.
-
How can people not love black cats............Jet is my little petit black moggy and Cruz her sister is black & white.........both gorgeous and if anything I prefer them to the other colours that we are the CP in kent
-
I'd have all three if I could, black cats are my Fav! Matilda wouldn't like it though she's not a great fan other cats :(
-
I have done my bit for the black cat population awaiting a home!
Adopted black cat #2, Doc on Sunday. All the other black cats at the foster home stood around his carry box in a circle as if saying some kind of secret goodbye!
Maybe black fur is some kind of secret society uniform ;D
Good luck to Lenny, I hope he finds a home soon
-
Black cats are great!

I'd love a little tabby though. One cat is enough for us though. I'm feeling like a cat slave all this running around. :)

Got a lady coming to see Lenny tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

Americans believe that black cats are unlucky. Traditionally, in UK, it's always been considered- LUCKY to have a black cat. Here's a traditional anon verse:
When the cat of the house is black
The lasses of lovers will have no lack
I love black and white, and black cats. Bella, Minnie and Max (all at the Bridge) were black-and-white, as are Polly and Samantha. I would love an all-black cat, but when I've wanted a cat, there hasn't been one of the right temperament available from my fave cat-rescue (WellCat). I prefer cats who get on well with other cats; and I'm good with nervous cats. A pure black cat would be magical. Just like a Bastet statue.
Did Sasha Baron Cohen agree to the use of his catch-phrase for the campaign?
I like black cats because they're....CATS! (Trying to type this with a black-with-white-bib-and-paws climbing all over me!)
-
Yes how did it go for Lenny
-
Well a lovely family turned up, they played with Lenny who was in his element, throwing himself on his back and purring. It all looked good and then they said "ok, we'll let you know"(?) Next morning the husband rang me to say that they had changed their mind and it wasn't the right time for them to rehome a cat. Oh well, fingers crossed Lenny's new home is out there - he's desperate to be out of the cat pen, bless him he's a lovely chap. He's going to be in the local paper this week so let's hope... mind you Flora was in the local paper last week, and nothing... and the same for Thomas - come on people!!!!
Dx
-
Oh no poor Lenny bless him :(
I hope he finds a loving forever home soon xx
Sending him lots of chin rubs and cuddles :Luv: :Luv:
-
Awwww, I don't get it! I couldn't take another tom on, I have two and one of them is already extremely bossy. I really hope Lennie gets the loving home he so desperately deserves soon.
-
Gosh, how awful. Really puzzles me. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?
In the pic below, he has such beautiful eyes, and his black fur is the perfect setting for them.
So sorry.
Maybe next time.
Love to Lenny from me and my girls.
-
2 of my 3 are black (kylie & willow) and they are gorgeous and I love them!
I was wondering what happened to little Bethany - she was gorgeous
[attachment deleted by admin]
-
Aw they're lovely! I didn't have Bethany? Had a Sasha though - she went to a lovely home last week
-
Sorry Denise, Sharon at Canterbury CP had a Bethany around xmas. I took the pics at Kopperkins Cattery where she was being looked after by Sharn. I took another kitty there at the weekend and Bethany was gone - hopefully to a good home - she was a sweet little "nipper"
-
Toto wants to know what's wrong with black cats, she said it's never gotten in her way and she can charm the pants off her Mum and Dad with the flick of a paw and a hint of a Mieow...................

My other half thinks that black and white cats are "proper cats" and doesn't like ginger cats... Poor Menue :(
In an ideal world, where I was I was living alone, there would be me and cats of all colours, shapes and sizes!
I hope that they get rehomed soon!
-
isn't it strange what some people think, I'm with you QP any shape, any colour, any size ;D
-
I've just noticed Lenny mentioned on another thread - says a couple are coming to view him this weekend.(unless it's a different Lenny!)
Good luck, big guy! :Luv:
-
Yes it's the same Lenny - yes definitely needs a home - he's sooooo lovely - purrs in your arms like a baby - just wants to snuggle into you - fingers and toes crossed!!!!
