I just noticed theHenkel careline - I am going to ask them if I can get Le Chat anywhere in the Uk (sad aren't I?  :evillaugh: )

I remembered the name!  ;D

Did a search andfound thelink for the free sample.

Although it sounds Italian, its made my Henkel so I will have to look into their testing policy

There is an Italian one they sell in Tesco - Someone put a link on a few weeks ago for a free sample. I can't remember the name but its made for baby clothes. The box is pink with a pic of a baby on.

Shame about Fairy non-bio - it is one of my favourite smells. I still have a few left from last year when I stopped buying. I use one tab with one water softener tab to make them last (I use them to wash bedspreads  ;D )

We just tried the Ecover washing powder, and although I think its supposed to be gentle, my o/h's eczema reacted to it, so have gone back to Fairy as it doesn't affect him at all

Don't want to use it now though in light of the P&G association ..... does anyone have any good hints on a really good gentle non-bio washing powder which may be good to use?  Don't mind own brand stuff, so long as its good.

We have Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons nearby so any ideas would be very much appreciated  ;D

It does seem to be a  bit of a minefield, I'll have to look into it further I think.

To be honest, I do get a lot of Quorn stuff - in fact the only meat I eat is in the form of fish or poultry. I've actually been thinking of going veggie  :shy:. I particulary like Qourn Grills, they're delish - lovely and spicy.

I have tried the Ecover stuff in the past and if I were getting a wage, I would get it, but at present I can't afford to. I'll have a look to see if there are any co-op stores in my area - haven't seen any though.

If you want to be 100% sure its not tested on animals, co-op own brand or astonish are guaranteed no animal testing. Ecover is an option but expensive. I'm not sure what Unilever's policy is but they make plenty of brands - ie Persil. It's a difficult one.

Try the Quorn sausages, cheap and good for you (and I don't think P & G go anywhere near them).

Well, the only thing on Mark's list I get is Fairy...not any more!!!

I wonder if they make stuff for supermarkets "own brand" products  :-:, I always get Asda white label stuff - I'm a student nurse so I can't really afford brand names. Come to think of it, I'm the only one going without - the pusscats have the tender morsels in a delicate gravy and I get sausages with extra snout

Woe, woe, woe is me  :shy:

yes it is Procter & Gamble. Without checking everything carefully its hard to avoid their stuff but I am getting pretty good at it. Ariel, bold, flash, bounty (kitchen roll), head & shoulders, iams, eukanaba, fairy liquid (and any other fairy products), head & shoulders, pringles (crisps), the list is endless  :tired: - I think we all need to do ur bit although "the general public" is ignorant to these things (or uninterested) so they get away with it. It would need people like Oprah in America & Richard & Judy here to make people listen.

I didn't know that about Iams. Am I right in thinking that the P & G is Proctor & Gamble? I won't be buying any of their products again  >:(!!

Iams seems to be on offer everywhere. I wonder if people are gettingto know about their practices. It is a shame. I know it was Willows favourite food until I found out about them. Its funny but she stopped being sick when I took her off it. Also, I wonder what colouring they put in as it permanently stained the carpet (luckily now replaced with wood!  :evillaugh: )

I need to check but I think the boycott day is coming up soon.

Anyway, isn't JWB BOGOF in PAH at the moment?

It's a shame, it would be a good offer if it wasn't Iams.

Broken record I know, but I could never buy from a company that "experiments" on cats & dogs. I won't buy any P&G products including, fairy, bold, flash, aerial, bounty etc
