Title: Hello
Post by: hollycat on June 19, 2014, 18:57:19 PM
Hi everyone
Hollycat here. I chose hollycat in memmory of my cat holly who left me aged 21and a half in 2008, she was a lovely jet black moggie and I had her since she was 6 weeks old.
Anyway I am mad about moggies, I was brought up with them and have only been without one for 4 months in over 50 years.
I have two little horrors  ;D now, 5 month old kittens Astrophe and Zuni, brothers. Rescue cats from Cats Paws sanctuary.

Hope to talk cats and post pics of my monsters.
Thanks for letting me in

:hi:   Hi there Hollycat  :wow:  Think we may have one or two things in common  :)

Am rather partial to the odd Moggy or two also :innocent: esp black  :Luv2: ; Dingle passed away Oct 97 aged almost 21 having come to us aged 6 weeks and one of our moggnificent 7 "Dinah" is a dead ringer for the gorgeous Astrophe and Zuni  :blow kiss:

:welcome: to Purrs

I think you could say I've also shared my life with at least one moggy for around 50 years as my first angel was Emma when I was aged 4  ;)  We always had cats though as I inherited mad cat lady genes from mom.  Never stood a chance really  :evillaugh:

It's great that you are already contributing in best bargains section and regarding flea treatment  :)   :thanks:  Hope you hang around  :)

Butter wouldn't melt.........  ha :evillaugh:
I picked Astrophe it's a shortened version of catastrophe  :evillaugh: but he gets called Astro which means star.
Zuni was the name given by the rescue center,  they did tell me what it meant but I forgot. I call him Charlie as he is a bit of a clown (Charlie Caroli) but most of the time I call him cr#$$ ycat as he will not use the litter tray all the time. His favourite spot is by the front door. Work in progress.
Thanks for the welcome everyone.  :thanks:

Hi Holly,

As a rule of thumb it is usually recommended to have 1 litter tray per cat + 1 spare.  Obviuosly this isn't always practical but if you have a furry that doesn't like using a tray (possibly because it's already been used) it might be worth investing in another tray .... alternatively a "large" litter tray is good option.

I already have 3 large trays and a corner tray for the munchkins.  He uses it occasionaly. He may pee in it then poop on the carpet or poop in ot then pee on the carpet. He is learning though.  :thanks:

This morning the little sod went in the freshly clean tray (I saw him get Iin) scratched around as they do, so I left him to it.5 minutes later the pong said he had used the tray but no, the little darling had got out and pooped in the corner by the door.  :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

And another thing why does kitten poop smell sooo bad ;D

Cleo's poo used to be the smelliest I have ever known. Now that she eats raw food, you would never know that she had been!
