Thanks for the reminder Mary. Thankfully, Cleo is a little deaf so doesn't react to the noise and Alf is fairly laid-back as long as he is safely inside.

I find that the cats always look at me when they hear a loud noise, then if I don't make a fuss they ignore it too.  However, I do tend to leave the radio on when I go out so there's always background noise.  Where I live the fireworks are more or less continuous from mid October to well after bonfire night.
